Serral is the reason why roach burrow was nerfed. Serral doesnt even use infested terrans. But the thought of him using it made them nerf it. Scarlett won an IEM off of hatch tech ling drops. Balance team got together and said "Serral must never have this" During the summer of Nydus, Serral shrugged and said Nydus is too weak. That's because he already knew the second he touched it they would nerf it. "This must never fall into the hands of Serral". "I think banelings are okay", Serral once said, sleepily stretching. Balance team took this as a hint. Banelings must be OP.

@@madumlao Let me put it this way, Serral is AMAZING in the early game where he needs to keep his Drone count against sneak attack and also protect the creep spread Hatch growth. But the moment it kicks into the mid-game with mass Lingbane or Roach-Ravager and /or Mutalisk. Thats not Serral, its the Zerg race mechanics that destroy the opponent. If you are Terran/Protoss and you let the Zerg get to saturated 4-5 Hatch with 10-15 Queens and 100 Army supply, you WILL lose unless you have some perfect hit with spellcaster and god-given micro ability.

While SC2 overall is quite a well balanced game, at high GM~pro player levels PvZ is the one matchup that is heavily one sided (Zerg favored, has like 55% winrate for Zerg on avg while others are 49~51 range) despite some recent buffs/nerfs--though TvZ is becoming more and more Terran favored with newer patches. Toss has very limited options/build orders that actually works against Zerg, so games often end up being cheese fiestas or the same build orders every game. Not sure what can be fixed, but PvZ should be given more effective options to promote diversity. At this point the only interesting/fun matchups are TvT and TvP tbh, though TvZ can be fun on maps that aren't one sided like golden wall.

Early on you can try to surround them with lings. If it's a 2base allin.. err, let's hope you're a way better player and that you scouted it in time. Evenly matched, toss will more often than not win with that cheesy allin.

Demu is saying that different toss tech buildings have different sizes and by pinging the building on the map you can see the size and as a result which tech building it is. This let's you tell what the building is if you didn't click on it and see the name when your unit ran past the building, so a neat piece of information that is occasionally useful.

I invite you to at the very least play as Terran and realize how many things you have to be or be on top of in order to win. Proper splits against storm, making sure that you don't get caught off guard by a toss army due to an observer, proper micro against 2 base blink Stalkers... I was surprised on how easy was to reach GM as Toss vs how hard it was as Terran, can't talk about Zerg since it's my main since 2016 but still... Is easy to be bad and cry "My race needs a buff"

1) Protoss are objectively underpowered 2) Depending on the which side of the bed they rolled out of, either Serral of Raynor is the no.1 ranked player at the moment. Note that Trap recently beat Raynor 3-1 anyway, so... 🤷‍♂️ (More interestingly accoriding to Aligulac, there's only 1 Stats is in the top 10. The next highest protoss is 14th. In fact, positions 14-18 are all Protoss. aligulac.com/periods/latest/ ) Either this means the way Protoss works has to be changed to allow for a higher skill ceiling (i.e. the top Protoss simply *don't have the tools* to face the top Zerg/Terrans on equal footing, or (I'm assuming _less likely_ ) the elite Zerg/Terran are... eliter(?) than the elite Protoss.

With the exception of spore crawlers zerg has no anti air capabilities pre lair. Both protoss and terran can counter early air aggro such as oracles without a n issue. Also building up 15 larva is usually indicative of a bad zerg. Means your larva aren't being utilized, inefficient.

numbers play a lot factors in sc2 momentum. like the casters mentioned: they have the same worker count but serral is not mining. that is easily hundreds of resources difference. hence serral is stuck making cheap units while trap, with higher income rate, is able to produce more in number and much sophisticated units. serral, former world's 1# knows about momentum and timing much, much, much better than we do. so, why fight a losing battle if he could save his stamina for the next rounds?

Yeah PvZ is basically totally against the protoss. You can't make any mistakes while Zerg is extremely forgiving. Plus the clock is against you, the longer the game goes on, the less chance you have of winning.

Trap play one of the best PvZ against Serral actually. He just got out-muscle by the Zerg in the end. Its Cure in the Semi that was the disappointment. Straight up BC rush and get countered like crazy every single time.
