This setup works great on a necro tank as well with its aoe debuff and corpse poison aoe tether as well as other skills that are similar ty for this content and giving me the ability to see what other classes benefit from your gear setups and similar move concepts

I watched this video multiple times... and read the written guide multiple times... The video is really well done- the written not so much (I prefer referring to written). Also, they both have different morph recommendations, so they're not the same, which makes it hard to follow. The written should also include passives, as well as everything you covered in the video- such as which morph stems from which skill and tree. I enjoy thoroughly watching the video for reference, just can't keep coming back to it and skipping to the part I need. Note: Still very new to ESO.

37:10 - 37:50 OMFG!! I've been searching for a good Warden magicka tank build (or at least a Warden tank that uses ice staff) and then I see THIS. I have to give this build a try. I even actually might change my main to this, which would be both awesome and strange as I... haven't been a good tank in any MMO as I tend to have trouble keeping the aggro (yes, I KNOW how to taunt) in the midst of chaotic battle (like a really big mob). This build actually helps with that. Thank you for this awesome build.

I absolutely LOVE this build!!!! Xynode really did a great job with it!!! I even use it as a SOLO toon to do WBs and solo some dungeons. I've had a horrible time getting the Azureblight Ice staff though.. I have done LoM over 60x with no luck :(. This build even works pretty well in PVP when I take it in there. I did swap the betty netch with the bull netch and for some mechanics, I run Stonekeeper.

Love your builds as usual. My DK tank build is one of yours with some minor tweaks that fit my play style. I wanted another tank to play and I first seen your Atronach build which looked really great with all that group healing potential but after seeing this build and realizing I could have both setups on my warden, I pulled the trigger. Just hit 50, lots of farming to do... I like Alcast and Dotz. I check their stuff out every once in awhile but Its always Ebon/Alkosh. It's so damn boring. Keep thinking outside the box, love the builds. Also Histkeeper (with some tweaks for me) is amazingly fun, incredible healing output, and great group buffing. Running SPC instead of Olorime cause lazy but it's still a great build! Thanks Xynode!

I’ve given up on Alcast builds. Xynode is way closer to the way I want to play, and the use of unusual utility sets plain and simply makes the game more fun. I’ve made a new Warden Tank and Healer to try these builds. I still need to farm the kit, but they’re already amazing

in my opinion, nord is still a good choice since you are tankier from the additional resistance bonus and ulti gain which means you can cast more ulti

nord is fine you will just not need the resistance cps and reinforced/nirn traits on the armour. You can pretty much go all sturdy with a nord tbh. you can pick any race you want but just consider you will have to alter/tweak things a little bit is all :)

@xynode, Can you provide more detail on the your armor glyphs and traits that you've chosen? You cover the weapons and jewelry in the video but gloss over the heavy armor pieces. I'm new to ESO coming from FFXIV. I wanna play a Tank endgame so I was thinking about leveling with a dps oriented build for now until I'm max level. But then I found this build. Could I go with this one right away for leveling? I should I better stick with a full dps build?

Great build as always. Lots of love for the Atronach - just tanked nCR for the first time (ok, I know, its not hard for most). Anyway, I'm tempted by this build and wondered about how useful it would be in practice over Atronach. Useful for trash pulls but for single target bosses? I'm not a very experienced player, so, the answer might be obvious

still great on a boss especially if someone else is using azure since it speeds up the procs for faster explosions

I like it much better than the Atronach, I do a lot higher DPS and am more survivable die a lot less. The CC doesn't hit as strong on bosses but the azureblight is not to be dismissed, I cook off about every 5-6 seconds. My guild and I did back to back vHRC and vAA speedruns tonight the other tank handled the gargoyles and I mowed down adds at the trash pull before the final boss. I died twice because I barswapped at the wrong time to cast some stuff from the back bar (should have waited till he was doing his shield throw) but we got all the fights in a single pull and in vAA we sailed through in 25mins and I was able to tank the axes without having to use mistform and rarely found myself without resources. Which I was NEVER able to do with the Atronach build. I did run leeching plate instead of frozen watcher as the leeching heals from the axes really help with survivability and are still a passive dot. I made (and am making some minor changes) for better stamina sustain (Bull netch vs betty netch) as I see magica regen when I'm blocking with sword and board, but I don't see stam regen when I block with the ice staff) and I think I want to do a reinforced helm and a sturdy shielf for better resistances/armor points.

So this is big AoE group damage for a tank but in say a single boss encounter that is going on around how much dps would you be expecting with a build like this as the tank?

single encounters it is great as it adds as MUCH control as before AND still adds a bit of damage but above all if someone else is using the set it speeds UP their procs for more dps output from them/you combined. Explained in the video during the demonstration :)

@@xynodegaming I watched the whole video, let me clarify. What may be helpful is during your demonstrations is showing the limits I guess? I watched the demonstration but I still personally don't know what exactly to say to my friends if they ask how much DPS i'd put out in a group vs single target besides "Ill have more damage while still tanking" (I did see in the chat log what looks like 9k dps in a big group but i'm not sure if this was using the full combo or just a couple abilities, etc.). It also would be good to know the limits of what you could physically take as a tank by yourself to show how well it can or cannot self-sustain, and just what its' limits are by itself and how reliant it is or is not on teammates in those critical moments as you never know who you may come across in group finder on top of using it solely in just controlled environments. And maybe I am just not looking in the right place for this information and missing it, totally possible. Love the build though and am implementing it on my character! :)

@@sturdyghost4697 The limits are not something that would really be accurate because it depends on the situation. How many adds, do other people have the set too? I am fully aware of all of the variables involved hence why the video is not 2 hours long boring you to show them all. BUT they have been considered and tested (the build was in the works for almost 3 months). The main thing i would like to encourage people to do is "try it out" so people can be surprised by it all. I deliberately showed what i wanted to show. But i can confirm with 20x dummies it can hold 300-600k dps lol but that is not as simple as that ;) It is a TANK that TANKS but with a little KICK to it ;) ENJOY!

I don't have imperial and decided to go with Nord, as they get a bonus to max health and max stamina as well, and instead of getting 3% cheaper abilities, you have more resistances.

Then you will gain massive heals but lose the AOE frost damage. Also, Leeching is poison damage, which the Warden does not have passives to boost. Frozen Watcher, however, deals frost damage which IS boosted by Warden passives as well as an increase to chilled status chance which stacks favorably with, again, Warden passives. Xy explains that fairly exhaustively in the vid.

I'm a warden healer but have a question about the betty netch. When you summon it it shows you gain 10,000 health. Where does this come from? When I summon it myself I don't get it. However a mate of mine following the build did get it so its probably something in the build. Seems like a good thing to have for any dd, healer or tank. Watched the video twice but can't find it 😂

Hey I'm Ivan it’s the one of the animal companion passives. You gain health whenever an animal ability expires. Summoning the netch counts as the last one expiring.

@@xxIvo Maturation(passive) in the Green balance tree... When you heal yourself or an ally you grant the target minor toughness increasing their max health by 13% for 20 Sec. .... that is where the + health comes from.

Cluck Kent can’t say for thurvoken but leeching definitely dots for everything since it is a poison cloud. I run it on my dragonknight tank with plague doctor and I’m basically unkillable in mob fights. Although leeching is better in mobs, a boss I wouldn’t recommend using it if you don’t have a good healer

Tried MANY things before this was final INCLUDING the above, and winterborn was pretty bad in comparison for the overall design for the build, It has no where NEAR the impact of azure and if you were using it WITH it, you would loose an entire heavy set meaning, good bye passives. This build has been worked on for over 3months now, trust me it works the way it is for a reason, if any other tests had been better or had more fun and effective results, i SURELY would have done that instead :) Farming is not necessarily difficult. That comes down to experience and which difficulty you choose, you CAN get ALL of the gear (excluding monster set) on NORMAL difficulty. Everything is dungeon loot :)

I have ideas of my own but haven't really felt like trying it out cause I would have to transmute so much stuff just to test it and I have other things I need to transmute before that lol.

Ok, it takes 38 runs to get it. Some hints for nLoM: 1) you can just run to boss ignoring mobs - all group will be teleported when fight starts 2) use maneuvr to run faster. Dont use other skills and you can enter doors even if mobs kick you. 3) clear all the way before last boss to pass (and all group need to use clear debuff pull before last barrier)

@@MurrSu I got the ice staff from trash on my second run of the dungeon, and the jewelry all from chests hidden along the sides. I definitely wouldn't recommend people rush through the dungeon, especially with some of those tricky chest locations. You're limiting yourself to only one (or four) drop chances instead of many more.

Patryk Tupac Mate using a 2h with SB makes it so both of your blocks use stamina, the whole point of this build is DoT, WoE is a DoT, the 300% dmg is only against targets with less then 50% hp and is an AoE not a DoT. The 2H passives are all AoE with a little bit of stamina recovery in there, and only reduce your 2h Stan usage. For this being a DoT build I don’t see using AoE skill with no DoT as smart. But hey it’s a guide you do you

And you'd be trading AoEnDoT skill for a AoE skill, but if you'd be using that skill only when the enemy goes below 50%,wouldnt you destroy the enemy then, more than with wall of elements, right?

Patryk Tupac the faster you apply DoT the faster you get the explosions from the Azureblight set, that’s the point of all the DoT AoE, so you taking away an AoEDoT that is basically the bread and butter of the build would probably lower the dps, while the numbers on the skills are higher the overall speed of stacking blight would lower which means that dmg would lower

It would require little adaption but it would work. In the raids I tank for my templar concept I have been doing is absolutely viable and does 12-15k dps while main tanking. Hybrid tanks when played by people who know content well are massive time savers

I gotta say, it has worked fantastic for me so far and I'm a PUG Lord. All vet content and most HM's. I'm running dual S&B tho (no ice staff drop yet). I really like dual S&B atm, obviously I had to tweak a few things. With this setup I can hit around 10k single target (buffed up) but this REALLY shines in AOE. I've seen upwards of 100K bursts that are awesome to watch and you truly are a tank. Now if your group dps is really high ya might not get to see your stacks build up but it can really help push dps. Super fun. Like I said, all I do is PUG not much trial experience on this build. Also nothing is gold yet other than both 1 handers but it is tempting just to squeeze that little bit of damage out of Azure stacks lol. At least try it out!

A VanD make sure your buffs are up so blue cloak and bone, use the shimmer against ranged. I spam the aoes so shards and wall and swarm and then I’ll immediately block. And rinse and repeat

if you think thats bad, try farming Undaunted Infil Shock staff. Over 100 runs and not only have I not found one, I've only spoken with one person who has. Ever. And he didn't need it and deconned it immediately

I dont understand how people can just run with abilities regardless of whether they make sense or not. Would that character really use those things in conjunction? No. A Dark elf or Argonian would use swarm and netch but not a Nord or any other human. I just dont get how people are cool with mixing things that shouldnt mix

I just can't stand using the netches. I don't know about you guys but it kinda breaks the theme of the class for me. That and the bugs.
