Thank you for this update. Prior to tanking I never did group content as I just could not get keep rotations up for good DPS as well as doge-rolling and doing all it takes to stay alive in medium armor. Then this build caught my interest and the detailed info you give on every aspect of it, made me realize that tanking may just be the thing for me and it has been AMAZING! The tank role keeps me right up in the mobs faces, which I enjoy and this build keeps me alive and affords me the tools I need to make a significant contribution to my groups.

Dude you have got me into Tanking with this build, albeit Surf-ze-Bones my Argonian Warden is only level 34 atm but for the first time, since playing 2 years of vanilla WoW and then 2 years of RIFT, I am actually going to play something other than a DPS! However I note from the written guide and a reference to ESO Skill book that Shimmering Shield has been nerfed and Absorb Missile (you have it as Absorb Magic) is the preferred skill...? Now I need to get my head around bar swapping and away from thinking of the Front bar as the 'Main' bar. That back bar and the Frost Staff are just so solid and useful! Liked And Subbed. Love your passion and concise manner. Keep it up 👍

Just had a quick question for you. I ran past the Steadfast Hero Set and I was wondering if the cleanse from Blue Betty would activate the 5th item effect. If so you would have Major Protection 24/7. If this works would this be a good alternative set to Leeching or maybe even better?

Jon Weston I imagine a high elf would also increase elemental damage? That should make the warden abilities hurt a bit more. I haven’t played one in a while and forgot their passives lol But yeah high elf would probably be a good shout, you’ll probably just want to run more stuff which will increase stamina/stam recovery though

Armor and physical resistances are the same thing; I believe spell resistances are called what they are, and not grouped by the word 'armor'

Are you certain Leeching is affected by Thaumaturge. I cleared my champion point, put 11(5%) points in thaumaturge. The damage did not change on Leeching. However all other DoTs changed in damage. I tried on two different psn accounts, can someone please explain or is it a glitch? I also would like to note that I tried the same for Mighty and the damage did change.

just tried Master-At-Arms leechings damage went up by 10% with 5% into master and mighty. Xynode might be something to recheck. I saw you leeching at 1467. Maybe PS is different from PC, if so might be worth mentioning to console players to lookout for.

So my question here is why not run warrior poets body? It will give you more health than pd and it will give you the resistance buff from the monster set so you can run a full monster set that can help with sustain or help the group

Well, a few builds could technically do this, but you'll immediately run into a few problems. -you'll need another way to provide the major debuffs, as the tank usually (exceptions noted) needs to apply it with full uptime. -builds that can do this tend to, like most tanking builds do anyway, focus on magicka abilities. In that sense, there's really no real stamina tank build - it's always a lot of magicka. Stamina abilities are usually limited to the stamtaunt, heroic slash (if used) and absorb missile. A double staff build, in which case blocking will drain magicka, you'll have magicka problems no matter how many spell symmetry/balance you use, which makes your taunt unreliable regardless of the changes to inner fire. You could switch the range taunt to inner beast, but that kinda defeats the point, and you may as well slot pierce armour. -In a lot of content, it is either necessary or at least convenient to have a close range AND a long range taunt. If you were to only slot one taunt, pierce armour is more convenient simply due to it being easier to regain stamina than magicka without the use of balance/spell symmetry. You could stack mag recovery, but then your health/stamina/magicka or your blocking cost will suffer for it. In short, you could, but I wouldn't recommend it for any kind of remotely difficult content. if you're looking for a very magicka based build, you could check out a necromancer tank or a dragonknight tank.

I use a magsorc tank . Pretty nuts at survivability Taunt with heavy attacks on an ice staff,so no sustainability issues there lol. Not the best for crowd control,but definitely alot more additional damage then a traditional DK tank. Start a fight by soft taunting with a ton of initial aoe damage,ice comet,blink & pulsar,all with a lightening staff for additional aoe damage(not to mention amplitude passive,which gives a small boost to damage to any enemies at full health,this passive is nuts when used with ice comet) Then hard taunt a few big badies as needed with ice staff heavy attacks until they walk into unstable wall of elements spam. Dark deal as needed,but can't get mana back while blocking, so it's good thing sorc has the best shield in the game lol. Both staffs are infused with crusher enchants for a consistent debuff. Not exactly the same as pierce armour,but run it with a nightblade healer & a stamplar dps & you'll have major & minor breech when you need it the most lol. Pretty fun to run PvE or even PvP. In PvE,it can easily solo most vet dungeons,if you have the patience lol I duo run into vet dungeons it with a magblade heala ,mostly for the major breach from mark for death,but also for the exicute,it's the one big weakness it has ,no exicute lol In PvP, you wont get the most kills,but you'll out live what you can't kill lol Stupid fun in battleground games like domination & crazy kings. Great for any PvP situation involving an objective where you can just dump a ton of AoE damage onto (see above about the amplitude passive & ice comet lol) Running Ice heart,mothers sorrows & torugs pact. Five heavy with a light belt & gloves, with everything infused for more stats. Chug some mana pots if you wanna perma block. Bound armour is under rated imo, with an ice staff+bound armour,you're allmost as tanky as a traditional sword & board DK,but with allmost unlimited stam to break free with.

I have a level 33 warden and 139 CP. I tried the recommended tank build from the advisor list. I couldn't keep any aoe or heals up. Had plenty stam but no mag. I watch this video and switch my setup to this one. I am now a level 33 tank god. I never die now. Constantly have heals and staff are damage. It's crazy! Thank you for this build!

I was concerned about that too but checking it on the PTS today I didn't see much of a difference in regards to how it performs for tanks. The tool tip now specifically says the HEAL on this ability scales off your max health (while before it wasn't specific to the heal) so It seems it's just the damage that's now taking the other stats into consideration. As a tank I'm not too concerned with damage of course, so I was relieved. I think we'll still be fine with this build :)

@@xynodegaming yea it's awhile off but. I'm not sure I'll be amongst you brothers when it drops. Think I'm just tired of the constant nerfs to everything we love. I've watched this keep happening and I'm not sure if I can take another huge nerf bus again. I don't see the balance I just see an out of touch team now who can't make up their minds. Like I said I'm just tired I want to raid for skins and feel like I've progressed not be kicked everytime I try to get up.

This works NOW and if things change i will just update the builds when necessary :) If other people keep kicking you because they are asshats then you can do what every other player in the game has the facility to do (and elitists forget this), make your OWN group. Best advice i can give you, if you want something done properly, you have to do it yourself. All the best of luck man you will get them :)

An AOE taunt is Inner Fire, found on the Undaunted skill line.

@@EVILx3MPIRE Inner Fire is a ranged taunt not an AOE taunt. Sadly there is no AOE taunt in ESO. You can also use a frost staff as a ranged taunt with the Tri Focus Passive Active. To Tank a group you have to taunt or do enough damage to each enemy to make them focus on you.

Angel Momchilov it’s entirely down to which one you prefer to play Each class has their own quirks which makes them better than another class or worse than them (ie. nightblades are the only class with an invisibility ability, everyone else needs a potion) Each class is entirely different and have completely different play styles so it’s up to personal preference whether you’d rather shield yourself with flame and dragon scales or ice and vines

I went with Plague Dr jewlery and weapons, then farmed the leeching set in body pieces. Found it to be easier to hear up.

Harry taylor I certainly think so, but if you’re really new I’d recommend just experimenting with different play styles and not sticking to a guide. Create your character and play however you want, then later on in the game (I’d recommend looking into sets when you’re at least cp160 because that’s the highest item level possible) then start looking into builds When you do though make sure you take the race you play into count I.e if you play a wood elf, it’s probably a good idea to play stamina dps instead of a magicka healer though that is entirely possible (but not recommended going off of racial passives) If you end up filling all roles in dungeons, you’ve played a healer, tank and dps on separate occasions, and you preferred a tank, then go absolutely crazy looking into tank builds Test out different classes and find which one you ultimately prefer for tanking, don’t look into only wardens, also go with sorcerers or dragonknights too Glhf!

@@mycommentisinvalidbut9375 the teleport abilities for adds, healing for group and also , protection ultimate are probably the most difference vs the dk, which has fast pulling chains, and big damage shields for the group (so long as you have high health.
