ESO - Waking Flame PTS Gear Set Review | Hrothgar's Chill | Proc Meta Incoming? Maybe...

What is going on guys today we are on the Waking Flame PTS doing a Gear Set Review of the Hrothgar's Chill set coming out next patch. With this set being able to be used on both magic and stamina classes, I can definitely see a new addition to of the newest Proc Meta sets. Is it another set Incoming? Maybe... But regardless this is a fun set to use, crazy burst on Magic DK which is the only class I tested it on. I mention a few other classes in the video that I think would be good to run this on.

Just subscribed. I like this set a lot. I don’t know what to say about the Zos TTK stuff. I see a ton of crazy Tanky folks in Cyro. I think you did a video on broken builds. They number one thing is ability to counter. I like that this set is a counter to resistance stack. It’s also heavy so unless wpn and jewelry you are making yourself susceptible to same set. I would like to see more “anti-x” options. X being common situation such as the other new sets that are Zerg busters. Choose your poison!

Im excited to run this on my magden. The thought of running this with frostbite and balorgh then dropping an Icy Comet on a group in Cyrodiil makes me happy in pants.

This pairs really well with plaguebreak in cyrodil on stam DK dot builds. Just gotta make sure you time your noxious breath for after the hrothgar proc. Nukes them with the other proc if they cleanse for a heal.

Combo it with werewolf alpha, selistrix or balorg, as a stamden with sleet storm ulti massive aoe potential. Also, Hrothgar's chill and stuhns could be powerful imo.

I think magdk will be so good, but yeah will still suffer high magicka skill cost, crap mobility and sustain. But the new corrosive ignoring spell resistances as well is so juicy.

Completely off topic, the gear changes are cool but again each update they’re changing things that aren’t necessary at this time in the game , people have spend time and gold etc redoing their set ups.

That's the whole point. They need to keep changing the meta so that you're constantly farming gear and spending time in game .

Is the AOE damage determined by the resistances of the person you attack, or is it determined on an individual basis? Basically, should you be attacking the tank first so his resistances determine damage on surrounding enemies?

Be careful of your weapon trait, second armor set and skills you use. Hrothgar's Chill goes off their resistances. If you cut those resistances in half, you'll actually do less damage. You'd be better off increasing raw damage.

Weapon trait is irrelevant bc it's based of their resistance not your penetration. So using sharp will increase damage while using major breach would decrease the damage of hrothgar. But honestly not that much, I'd still use major breach with hroth

How is this set even remotely balanced? Too much damage for the super easy proc conditions. Also, if you aoe stun, does this proc an aoe on all targets hit by the stun? That's ridiculous

@@jonnvessel it doesn’t matter what you run with this set. If its aoe procing, than it’s just broken… Even on single target it’s kinda too strong. It’s fun to use if you’re the only one using it probably. But it will never happen and you will be zerged by that set…
