My first husband died of this twenty two years ago . It was not discovered until a couple months before he died. I want to say, when life is hardest, God carried us. The last days my husband got saved and Holy Spirit baptized. He said the Bible meant everything to him.

This is going to sound weird, but this guy had stage four cancer in four different places in his body veterinarian told him to try FENBENDAZOLE a few months later he was cancer free. Also, I had lung cancer and I have not had a recurrence in two years after I had my upper right lobe removed and then afterwards starting to eat broccoli sprouts three times a week. You can look up how to grow them right here on KZbin. John Hopkins university tried to patent broccoli sprouts, but it was denied because it is a natural substance and there is a sulforaphane in broccoli sprouts. not just broccoli you have to eat the sprouts. It has 10 times the amount and eat them raw not cooked. I put them on my egg sandwich.

I think the reason it is detected late is the doctors miss it!!! It is not the people going late, it is the doctors who dismiss the symptoms as acid reflux, a virus or a sore throat.

I don't know which is your personal experience, but I can assure you that when a doctor has suspicion that a patient can have an esophageal cancer he won't dismiss the symptoms and will start the diagnostic process to confirm that suspicion.

My husband was diagnosed in May of 2021 of non-small cell Adenocarcinoma stage 4 esophageal cancer. He was not a candidate for surgery or radiation as the cancer is in his lymph nodes. He has never had reflux but did smoke many years ago. He is only a social drinker, no liquor. He’s been through chemo in combination with immunotherapy for the initial 3 months but immunotherapy only since. He is doing quite well but has just developed a rash that is quite pronounced. I’m concerned that the doctors will stop his treatment and praying for a miracle. For all of you, I ask God to love, bless, and protect you and your loved ones from the ravages of all cancers. 🙏

I hardly ever drank, but over 40 years ago was a light smoker for about 25 years, never ate very spicy foods in my life, I'm in my early 80's and noticed a few months ago I had suddenly trouble swallowing and pain, but my Dr. thought it was acid reflux, heartburn, but even with Meds it did not help so I got 8 weeks (had to wait) later a Endoscopy test that said, stage 2 cancer, nobody in my family had it and they all smoked, some drank, but you can live a model life and do nothing wrong like smoking, drinking or eating spicy foods and get it , I do not want surgery at my age, it involves a 2 week hospital stay and then if you live alone like I do a 8 week nursing home stay, at my age the risk of infection and dying are to great for me to risk, in my opinion and that of two out of three doctors say a nasty operation, especially of course at me age, so I had the chemo and radiation, just finished it , and now can swallow better, but of course need tests, (Endoscopy) to see how much the tumor shrunk , most people die after a few years anyhow From this, it can spread to other organs according to statistics I read, but many don't , sadly I had it for a few months before even my GP Doctor suspected anything, not his fault, but I had to wait two more months for the test, health care here in our country is expensive and slow, you better have good insurance or lots of money or you die, I'm old but I am also so sad for younger folks with it, and depressed myself over this horrible painful disease, all I have left too enjoy is food, and that is hard to do when you cannot swallow well and have chest pain, but chemo and radiation help me a lot and I am better. Chemo is much improved, so you are not sick from it these days and radiation gives you a bad sore throat for a couple of months, but helps a lot , I did not need a food tube luckily. so Good luck, if you have family your lucky, I don't anymore. .

My dad passed away from this in February 2020. He was a heavy drinker and tobaco user. 83. He presented systems in October. Then chemo and radiation. Till just a few days after the treatments ended. Things went down hill. Hospice. He took the easy way. So no further life savings methods. It was just pain with drinking or eating. We made him comfortable. I've felt the worst guilt for not helping him more. To keep him alive longer. Seeing this. Now. He made the right decision. It would have been terrible. Thank you. This releases me from the pain and guilt.

If your having issues with reflux and swallowing, get yourself a very good Gastroenterologist. It's highly likely you have a Hiatus Hernia. Don't assume it's simply a part of aging. My mother and her two brothers suffered with reflux and all three had Hiatus Hernias. Only one uncle use to get his esophagus stretched. So I just learned to live with mine. By the time I seeked help, I had too be operated on to repair my gaint hiatal hernia that required a fundiplicatiin wrap. It had become an issue that needed surgery almost immediately. I was placed on a low dose of blood pressure medication used off label. It was well tolerated until my country became in short supply, meaning the medication that worked the best suddenly became unavailable. There was no substitute available.

That was very informative. I believe that my father may have suffered from this because he often had indigestion to a very high extent. Eventually he complained about extreme back pain and headaches as well as a anemia. They ran all kinds of test, but what you are describing to me it looks like the doctors missed it completely after all the test they had done. We were at the hospital at least once a month and they ran every scan & test available. The last time I went to the hospital they diagnose him with cancer of the brain and spine and gave him 3 to 6 months to live. I wish I had seen this video earlier and I would shown it to the doctors and I believe I could have probably had saved his life. Now I'm starting to have a esophageal issues and have scheduled an appointment to get that investigated more. Again thank you for your informative video.

@@ForeverChiTonight Do you mean on me? If so I did have tests done and my issues were with a narrowing at the opening right where your esophagus goes into the stomach. They placed a balloon at the narrowing and it seems to have worked for a little while, but I feel as if it's reversing again and I will monitor the situation. Because of the constant throwing up (because of the narrowing) I found out that I was anemic, even though I have a little too much meat on my bones, and you can be anemic and be overweight as well at the same time.... who knew! I found that out by unfortunately going into the emergency room because of low hemoglobin. I was at a 3, normal levels are supposed to be between a 12-16, optimally! So needless to say I was on death's door. They found out I had other issues and I spent 4 days in the hospital and 3 pints of blood later.

I've been diagnosed with early stage EC but don't fancy the treatment so will take my chances which I understand to be very low (how low I don't know). So, it's good that, given the lack of decent information out there, someone has made this video for the questions that people in my condition ask. @@alneal100 It's a tough operation to take, and even if successful, only 1 in 2 are still alive 5 years later. Of course it's a very personal choice and if I had a lot of dependency on me then I may have felt more guilty about opting out. Someone like me with an early stage T1b is offered this op because it's the only way to guarantee getting it all out, but all in all, it's not for me and I'd rather do the risk assessment and take my chances that it won't return. If it does then it was my choice and I'm glad I flipped the coin. What this video does is give me signs to look out for in case it spreads and It's not noticed otherwise. I was diagnosed in September with an Adenocarcinoma of the oesophagus just at the junction of the oesophagus and stomach. I have my next cycle of Chemo finishing on New Years Eve. I will be having my stomach and much of my oesophagus removed mid January, via keyhole surgery, followed by 4 more cycles of FLOT Chemotherapy. The Doctor believes I have a chance of a total cure because the Pet scans indicate that it hasn’t metastasised outside the GI Tract. The only symptom I had was I noticed my stools were much darker than usual and the Doctor recommended a gastroscopy, as the dark stools could indicate bleeding higher up than the bowel, which uncovered. My advice is to be very observant of any changes in your body and bowel moments. This cancer is becoming very prevalent and has a very, very poor survival rate if not caught early!

I have all symptoms of this cancer. I'm 22 and have had GERD since I was roughly 16. Lanzoprazole has become useless and have been prescribed the highest dose of omeprazole whilst I wait for my endoscopy. The trouble swallowing food has become a real problem for me. Just been discharged from hospital after 3 days under assessment due to extremely low blood pressure from not being able to eat. Even drinking water has become hard. Doctors think I have this but with spread to the lymph nodes , kidneys , stomach and bowels. I am not scared of death, but I am scared of a painful one. Hopefully I do not have this horrible disease as I have a mate who's been told he has no more than 8 months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 esophagas cancer. My heart goes out to all of you surviving with such a dehumanizing illness.

His doctor prescribed an over the counter acid blocker. I think 3 years down the line that accident caused damage that lead to esophageal cancer. Doctors could not find it and treated him for other issues. Hindsight tqhe cancer spread to his brain, liver and other organs. We only had 3 weeks between diagnosis and his death on July 23, 2021. This is a horrible way to die, we were married 35 years. If your body us giving you symptoms you are fortunate. Please push your fear aside and get medical help. I'm begging you.

Hi I have had esophageal cancer. I believe it was stage 2 at localised to the esophagus. I was very lucky that it was very difficult to swallow foods as you explained so I knew thing was very wrong. My specialist diagnosed Barretts oesophagus and cancer after an endoscopy. I had cross therapy. ie. radio and chemo therapy. Then 3 weeks ago, I had surgery using the Ivor Lewis method. I am now very saw still where they opened me up and the right part of my chest. It is still painful when I cough, sneeze or laugh, not as bad as when I was discharged from hospital 2 weeks ago. Now though, I find it hard to eat properly because if I have too much I get an agonising pain in my abdomen only to be relieved by belching or burping. I almost rang an ambulance twice wanting to be rushed back to the ward. I am now so careful to eat very small meals but more often, say 5 meals a day. I am scared to drink also fearing it may fill me up. Any advice at this stage of my journey. My specialist hopefully can answer my questions when I finally see him. I also would like to know whether the cancer can rear its ugly head again even though I have a brand new esophagus and suspect lymph nodes were cut out.

I had chemo and radio therapy and the Lewis operation 4 years ago. Now at 63 of age I have fully recovered and am in fact in better condition than before diagnosis. Living without an esophagus is an adaptation but is perfectly feasible. I must say that the operation is done now in Europe without opening of the chest.

I have just returned to work last month, only 2 days a week, for 5 hours because I just get fatigued - I am putting it down to the immunotherapy drug though. I had this cancer 2 years ago when I was 58 years old and am cured of it. The treatment is hard-radiation, chemo and a complicated surgery-but recovery is possible. For the surgery 3 conditions were required: no smoking, no overweight or underweight, no diabetes.

@PUC IRC Yes , here in Belgium for 5 years after treatment there is every 3 months a follow-up program( blood analysis and MRI scan) and no metastases we're detected. I was very lucky to be operated by a very able surgeon. I have no esophagus anymore and no functional stomach but surprisingly I lead a 90% normal life whitout heavy medication or hindrance, am fully at work and actually in better shape than before

My sister-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma esophageal cancer last July. Dye to the conditions you mentioned she was not a candidate for surgery. It's ten months later and she is still with us. They did not expect her to live beyond two months. She is on a strict modified keto diet and one month ago she started the Joe Tippens protocol. She is doing very well.

I am really nervous I have this. I put off symptoms for a while because I was too busy dealing with kidney disease. But suddenly, I can't eat hardly anything without feeling like I ate a whole thanksgiving meal. Both my stomach feels full and my throat. Now all the time it feels like there is a whole ball in my throat. If I bend forward to do anything it feels like something is pressing on my chest bone. I have a chronic cough now, hiccups, chest pain, wheezing and anemia. I don't drink or smoke but I have had Gerd for years. I also have had bile reflux from having my gallbladder out and I have a hiatal hernia. Now that I finally called a GI dr, I can't get in for 3 weeks. Guess I won't be eating for the next 3 weeks. Good thing I could stand to lose some weight lol.

Wow we have so many similar health issues going on and I'm not the only one. I can't get into my Gi specialist either for almost another 2 months and that's just ridiculous but what can you do right. My heart goes out to you. I have stage 3 ckd due to a rare kidney disease and also have anemia. I also have a hital and an umbilical hernia as well. My gallbladder has been removed to. I have had gerd for so long and have Barrett's esophagus. But i have to many health issues including thyroid nodules and cysts and the list goes on but i will keep you in my prayers and hope you're doing well or better.

@@angelsbutterflies6293 , wow that's crazy how much we have in common. I will pray that you get into to see someone who can help soon and that they have the wisdom to fix it all. Keep an eye on that anemia. Mine has progressed suddenly to iron defficiency anemia which has been making me really weak and tired and I fell about 4 days ago and hit my head on the side of the bathtub giving me a head injury. My kidney disease has gotten better believe it or not. I think my blood pressure medications were really destroying my kidneys. I stopped taking a bunch of them and my kidney function got way better. Even though my CKD got better, my anemia is getting worse and worse. So I'm thinking even more now that I will have to look into the GI stuff because from everything I could find it says the most common cause of this type of anemia in a post menapausal woman is GI Bleed somewhere. I will most definitely be praying for you. I have survived so much. I believe that God will get both me and you through this too. God bless you. Big hugs of healing to you.

I’ve been having pain/tightness in my chest, tight throat, random pains in esophagus (esp where esophagus meets stomach), constantly having contents from stomach come up. Can’t hardly eat anything without having food contents coming up so I’m on a pretty bland diet. I’m on dexilant, sucralfate, and zegerid and none of these are curing me. Was on Prilosec and protonix but they didn’t work either. I’ve dealt with reflux for a few years. I’m terrified this could be cancer since no ppi’s or otc’s are working (they’ve helped but haven’t cured). I’m miserable. I’m only 26 and I’m scared this could be esophageal cancer. My appointment for an endoscopy is in 2 weeks so we’ll see what he says. Hoping for the best...

My GP called me today to go and see him and checked me out and sent me urgently to the ENT department and gave me a leaflet about possible susected cancer . the leaflet says that the urgency is to rule out cancer and if it is cancer ,it is best to treat it earlier. my symptoms are exactly what this video shows, terrible time eating solid and after eating I cough no stop to clear my throat and the cough is just dry. I can drink water with no issue, but I do feel a lump and sometimes I have pain. it all started after catching covid 8 months ago but it was just a very minor issue ,now it s very serious.

My brother in law was diagnosed 18 months ago with stage 3 esophagus cancer(9cm tumour) Unfortunately after months of chemotherapy and even radiation therapy, he sadly passed away recently. A very aggressive and deadly cancer. He did have symptoms prior to being diagnosed of difficulty in swallowing food etc, but like many, brushed it off as indigestion issues. the take home message here is, if you are feeling any of those symptoms, don`t hesitate to go see your Dr, it may just save your life.

I know all too what this cancer can do. My brother passed away two years ago. Living in a remote place in Indian he just did not put a lot of stuff energy finding out what was wrong. Just indigestion!! He passed away in not a lot of pain. Additionally God saw to it after his suffering for more than a year. His last few months he could eat, drink like he was ok. The doctors could not explain. I guess the Best doctor in the world has the last word !! Thank you lord for taking him home in that manner!!
