Very interested by this stuff. But how do you know what caps & resisters you need for a particular project? I’m looking at building something similar, but even something simple like adding leds confuse me with resistor requirements. As for caps, they are purely for keeping the power nice & clean arent they? Thanks for the informative videos!

you can use a resistor calculator to find the minimum value of the resistor for an LED - that will drive it at full power without letting the magic smoke out, then you can increase the value to make it dimmer (and last longer). it is always useful to first try it on a breadboard. and yes, for this circuit the caps are just for power filtering, so the values don't need to be exact - it would work fine without them.

Hi buddy. Your project is very good. I have the material and software knowledge to make it, but I couldn't find a schematic for the esp card in the link you gave for the pcb printing card. Can you help me I need to make my little aquarium smart and give a presentation at school.
