Passion For Angling is still by far the best fishing viewing ever made. Hat off to all involved and thank you.

Can say with some confidence that ‘A Passion’ will never be bettered. Times and characters have changed to the point where you could never recreate such a masterpiece ever again. There are some great pieces out there today but nothing comes close to Hugh’s work. If ever you need an inspiration to go fishing or indeed need an answer to “why do you go fishing?” then look no further.

I hope Hugh knows how inspiring his films are. I remember watching them as a young teen and be bursting to go to my local lake and create my own experiences.

I still watch these on you tube. Since quite a young age these films grab hold of you and they are classics. Been watching them since I was around 12 years old and I’m 31 now. I’ll still keep watching them every now and then.

never will be bettered..they captured lightning in a bottle with this and it simply will never happen again unless the same 3 people do it again! the monster myths is the second best but the fact that no one knows where that old estate lake is and if the myth is still in there is what makes it superb as well.............superb films.

i loved the vibe and feeling of the series, the music fitted perfectly. just wish they used mics and didnt over dub all the speech, that still is totally distracting when watching.

The most important carp fishing videos ever made in my eyes!!!! Hugh is a boss and i think he had as much impact on UK carp fishing as Mr Yates did! Not that prick bob james though, he will poach your closed rivers and your Mrs!!!!
