When you see her play and sing, it is like watching a divine spark radiating and dancing in her. ...And you glow from the brilliance!

I love that she is showing her creative process. A lot of artists can't do this because many of them don't produce or write their own music. Some of them have to learn the words to their own song just like fans do. As a musician myself, I appreciate the fact she is willing to allow people to witness her creative thoughts come to life.

yes! "the act of composing ís improvisational"... The creative multiplicity hits the creator as well as the listener. The way she speaks about the creative processes is beyond words

Rarely do we get to witness gifted genius. For me as an educator, it’s like being present at the beginning of Creation wherein students begin to see and master a subject; for example when they get the moral intent of the Constitution. You can’t synthesize it for them! It is them “seeing” something new, specific to the next generation who has to agree to accept this new idea. The Framers really intended to address slavery but they realized that the time and people were not mature or ready to genuinely do something about it (to the good of the nation). Great video, I deeply admire this woman/artist. Thanks

spontaneity is the highest teaching. its the improbability drive that can take any anywhere no matter where they have been. Action without memory.

Here's a tip: Don't start talking about "it's not the destination it's the journey" if you yourself, as the interviewer, know it's a terribly cliche question.

I really can't believe that that comment has been allowed to stay here. Calling someone a half breed is a really racist thing to say.
