I think the problem is that in today's SC everyone is trying to be funny instead of giving highlights. They don't even give hat many highlights anymore.
@smill19856 жыл бұрын
Well, SportsCenter was funny back in its heyday. But yeah, you're right about the highlights. They're not quite as extensive as they used to be. It's just a different time now.

Wellie Cross i think the problem in today’s SC is that they put way too much focus on NBA and NFL. IF THEY ever do MLB highlights they show like 5 highlights in 2 minutes. But for NBA and NHL they really do in depth with any little detail about those games. It seems to me that they are slowly trying to get rid of MLB like they did the NHL. I wouldnt be surprised if they are waiting for their contract with MLB to end to get rid of it completely and only have a few analysts just in case.

I remember rushing home to watch SC back in the day. Now it's so unwatchable I have to watch old episodes just to relive those good days.

I wanna cry listening to this intro song. Brings back memories when sports were just sports and I didn’t have ESPN throwing Jamele hill in my face to talk politics for 45 mins. Thank god they moved beyond that era but it’s still trash compared to this.

ESPN probably used music from Videohelper, Opus 1 music, Extreme music or Firstcom.

@@notoriouseagle1074 I'd say 2004 was like 2nd or 3rd greatest ever. 2002 was in that best category for greatest year ever as well..Some days I wish I could get in a time machine, go back to throse years and live in them forever. The present is just awful. It's getting worse.

Today is the *16* year anniversary of when this aired on ESPN. 🤓 EDITS- 3:28 P.M.: *finishes video 57 minutes later* I felt like I was in a different world. 3:28 P.M. - 3:30 P.M.: Modern SportsCenter doesn't have nearly as many highlights like the ones Classic SportsCenter showed.
