That’s true if they both accepted where they stand in terms of who’s actually driving the league up. Unfortunately one doesn’t want to accept her position and wants to force herself on fans. A battle she can’t win, because her unsportsmanlike behavior puts fans off of her.

@@ericsarpong1792 Mostly white fans like Clark. Reese is a winner regardless. And Clark isn't driving the league up, she's driving HER sales up. Her fans are coming to see her, not the other players. That shows it's a bunch of casual fans who don't actually like the game but ONE player. So, in actuality she's not growing the league, just her ego and fan base.

@ericsarpong1792 Accept where they stand?! The only thing Reese has to stand on is the haters like you, necks!! What's driving the league is the current rookie class!! Reese, Brink, and Clark's jersey are the best sellers!! That means people are wanting to see Reese also!! Only stupid or race fans believe one player does it all when the attendance is up throughout the league!! Even in games Clark doesn't play in every game that the attendance is up or high!! She already won the battle stupid!! People like you said she would be a bust!! And look at her with 8 straight double-doubles (a rookie record) only second in the league in rebounds to the best player!! Reese doesn't have to take a back seat to no one especially Clark!!

@@ericsarpong1792 "where they stand" is BOTH are driving the league very high. BOTH have huge fanbases and it'd be stupid to say otherwise. They're both shooting around 37% and for 1 of them most of their shots are from in the paint. The other could be the the first rookie in WNBA history to average 15 5 5. You have to take into account what their team is asking for them. One has to bang down low with some of the best defenders and guard them as well. The other has the ball in their hands constantly to initiate the offense It should come down which player has the biggest impact on their team. But the media will pick favorites

Her team doesn't run the offense through her, they're terrible at setting screens for her, she faces by far the hardest challenges on defense, and her confidence is not there yet. She had an easy lay up and last minute dished it to Smith who wasn't even ready for it and lost it. Angel Reese impacts her team more when it comes to winning? Lol! Lebron James was the best player against GSW during the first time they met in a Championship series yet his team lost. One person cannot solely carry everything on his/her shoulder. You need to have very good support behind you. Second, how many times they have met? They just met 3 times and out of the 3 outings that they had, Clark's team won 2 of them. I appreciate Reese's efforts, but you cannot deny the type of teammates she has as well. Congratulations to both ladies! But the golden goose is still Clark (her numbers are backing up her status quo), not Reese. And she can definitely score more if she is given a chance to get more opportunities, just like what GSW is giving to Curry. Probably in the future if Clark will continue to shine.

Im at the point where people need to contextualize Reese better. Shes shooting 40% from inside 5ft without being guarded by the best defenders. 1/3 of her rebounds come from her misses if not more. Clark is way ahead AFAIC. I don't know how you go off one game where Chicago should have been the hungrier team because Indiana already beat them twice. But, The Fever gave the game away. And, let's be honest, Chicago had the home whistle like Indiana had the home whistle in their building. Caitlin Clark simply does more than Angel. She has exceptional court vision, a huge degree of difficulty on her passes, deadly from 3 and is getting more efficient at them, rebounds great for a guard, is by far the better shot blocker, and elevates her teammates by getting them easy looks. Angel has hustle and energy. She had 25 points and she was something like 8-12 and 9/11 from the line. So, yeah, she knocked down those foul shots and such but on her best day, she just can't do the types of things Caitlin can do. And Caitlin is going to get that 40 point game and 20 assist game. I feel it coming. Maybe not on the same day but both are coming. I see Angel getting as high as 28 or so points and 25 boards and that's great, but that's just not the same level of adding to your team's potential wins in the varying ways Caitlin can. It's hard to say something is objective but Caitlin just has more exceptional abilities and that's with acknowledging Angel's exceptional rebounding.

angel reese is shooting 40.6% from the field as a forward 😂 good for 14th at her position among players averaging 25+ minutes while caitlin clark is shooting 0.7% worse as a guard good for 9th at her position among players averaging 25+ minutes, angel reese averages 26.4 pts/reb/ast which is good for 8th at her position while caitlin clark averages 28.3 pts/reb/ast which is good for 4th at her position, caitlin clark is leading her team, sees much more difficult defenses, etc etc

CC is the bomb, nobody watched WNBA until she entered, and she is fulfilling the role as a rookie. It's not about the color of the skin, but the raw talent and professionalism.

Love Monica but team standings is never a factor in ROTY. By definition the best go to the crappiest team. If you want to look at +\- okay but it really about individual accolades

Team standings in this case most definitely! Since their so close, I'm that's what it will come down to. Chicago just bumped Indiana put of the last playoff spot in the standings. Indiana is a half game back of Chicago. Indiana has nothing but away games with winning teams. Smh.

How did she out dual Caitlin??? Reese was able to score 25 because the player guarding her was a terrible defender. Face it, she has no offensive game but is a great rebounder where some of those are from her misses. Before this game she was shooting 30 something percentage from right under the goal. She’s the WNBA version of Dennis Rodman who actually had a great NBA career.

I hate when people's argument for who should win an individual award is which team has a better record. You can contribute more and still have a worse record because your team is worse or your strength of schedule is harder. Plus a lot of games are decided by 1 possession How are you gonna discredit the better player because they lost a few more games by a couple points?

Can’t believe not one of these analysts brung up Angel Reese is leading the whole league in offensive rebounds! As a rookie something that’s never been done! Both are great players Caitlin is by far the more popular but Angel has the edge on the court right now….

Angel puts up great numbers for a rookie but watching her play basketball is painful. She comes to a complete stop when she goes for a freaking lay up. I think shes still pretty raw honestly and can get a lot better.

Monica forgot to mention that Caitlin Clark would be the first Rookie to ever average 15-5-5 but want to give Angel Reese ROT for averaging a double doubles since 2 others players already done that . I’m confused here
