Yeah but they're not saying the real reason why Pippen wasn't in the game. They making it seem like Pippen was was mad that kukoc was taking the last shot. I don't think that was the reason. I think Phil got upset with Scottie because of the play before the time out. When there was just enough time to get one shot off and they had a timeout to use but Scottie had Pete Meyers to inbound the ball to him and was gonna take a full court shot instead. Or it could have been that Pippen already knew the plan was for kukoc and that's why he inbounded the ball the way he did. He definitely wrong for that but also Phil was wrong for not trusting his best player in that type of moment.

@@LanceG007 I agree. Even looking at it now, I'm wondering why not have someone else inbound, a good passer, and at the least use Scottie as a decoy as he wouldve drawn attention away from Kukoc or vice versa. onidtubes i wish he could have gave Garry Payton more respect. In the first 3 games jordan shot 46%. When Garry Payton guarded him, Jordan shot 36%. In the game 6 game the Bulls won. Jordan shot 5 for 19 on 26% shooting. If Garry Payton wasn't on Jordan would of continued to put up those numbers. But Garry slowed that down by pressuring Jordan. To say Garry had a bunch of help is a weak excuse also since back then you couldn't Play ZONE DEFENSE. And Garry did hold Kob to 7 for 21 shooting back in 2001 but again Kobe played in the Zone Defence era.

And for Pippen I agree with him saying he’d do it all over again. It part of what made him great . Things you go through shape you into who you are now so I’m sure he meant it was a life lesson that fueled him in sport and off the court as well. He’s a great analyst . And I think because of how he and mike felt about Kukoc getting love from Krause before ever putting on a uniform pissed him off when Phil called the play for Kukoc . He may not have been mad if it was designed for anybody else . I’m sure of it !

This documentary elevates Pippen and brings to light a couple of low points as well. Overall, every player that played on those teams are elevated. Jon Paxson, Hodges, Kerr, Grant, Cartwright, Wennington...all of them get their due for enduring all this with the best player ever. They all reaped the rewards of being associated with that greatness.

There’s two different feelings when I see Jordan vs other great players that he gives me a feeling that Jordan would give up anything to win but he also understood he couldn’t do it himself so he had to develop his team to a championship lvl along with himself. I respect Kobe Bron and KD but they aren’t ones to keep their teammates to that lvl. Kobe was too rough which caused Shaq to leave, Lebron will rather trade to get pieces then develop talent, KD will rather leave or not be the leader.

My only complaint so far, and I haven't seen episode 8 yet, is that they're not painting the picture for the youngsters quite enough. The final series against the lakers deserved a more in-depth look because 1) it appeared at one point that he took on all 5 lakers and scored, and 2) the "spectacular move" as Marv Albert called it created a real time illusion that helped build his mythos. It appeared in real time as if he changed directions in mid air. It was as if he was at the front of the rim and he flew horizontally to the side of the rim to avoid defenders. In fact, I remember sports radio callers only 10 years ago saying "remember that time he changed directions in the air?". Also, they need to cover the illusion in his dunk from the free-throw line at the contest. The importance of that to his mythos can't be overstated. The illusion there was that he actually took flight because though he was only in the air for about one second, his release of the ball at the bottom of the arc created the illusion that he was in the air significantly longer. These things to Jordan were like the moonwalk to Michael Jackson.

And the fact that Scottie said in 2011 Lebron was better overall is why I have lost some respect for him. Granted he was a great player that I love about him. But you did some wild stuff and MJ was the one who helped you win and you said that, I was disappointed.

Derek Matthews you forgetting Scottie helped Jordan win to and played a bigger role than gets credited for.
@craigwilson53654 жыл бұрын
He was just being honest, but you forget, Pippen also said there is no game where he would pick Lebron over MJ. So basically MJ is a better winner. And thats far superior than all-around stats. Thats what Pip has said. Pippen isn't an articulate person by any means, if you see him speak during sports shows so I think people misunderstand him and take him word for word verbatim. I feel bad for him in that aspect. Just like that mistake he made by sitting made him learn and grow to be a better person and that's why he wouldn't change it. But I don't think he's the best at explaining his mind.
