Yeah but he doesn't make sense. Last year we traded for Gilmore and Cooks who were both very good players at the time.whatsbthe what's the difference between trading for a guy and signing one? Last year Gilmore was a pro bowl level player and cooks didn't have a bunch of yards but gave us 8 touchdowns. The cowboys suck at the two most devalued positions in football. 1 tech and running back. So you go cheap at those positions so you can spend more at others. Swagu is just liek the rest of you people. Just falling in line with the media companies instead of doing actual research. The cowboys problem is that nobody plays preseason so they start off slow. We were 2 and 3 last year and ended up 12 and 5.

12-5 3 years in a row isn’t exactly grounds to fire a HC. If making it to at least the Conference Championship game yearly was the prerequisite to not get fired we would have so many more changes in head coaches every single year. As terrible as they can be and how often they under perform in the playoffs, a 12-5 season is still a fantastic season, numbers wise. Everything else and specifics are there to debate. Trust me I take no pleasure in admitting that as long as the team has regular season success, Jerry won’t lift a finger. It’s been like this for decades.

I think everyone who says Stephen A does not know what he is talking about is missing the point. He is not saying he thinks Jerry will actually get Belichik, he is quite correctly saying that that is what he should do. I also think both men's egos are too strong to coexist, but the Cowboys have succeeded every time they have had a dominating head coach who puts systems in place that work, which in turn then gives the players the confidence in the systems in place. McCarthy is living off that one superbowl with Green Bay and the Cowboys soft schedule and regular season record. His systems have worked in the regular season but fall apart when the season gets to sudden death.
