Austin sounds silly. The mavs had the best defense over the last 2 months if the season. It wasn’t like they just turned it on, THEY CHANGED THEIR ROSTER. Luka was giving the wolves work by himself BEFORE the trade. The one game they both played, they beat the wolves and both Luka and Kai had 30+. The mavs didn’t have maxi then, and they don’t have maxi now, AND LUKA IS PLAYING ON ONE KNEE

McDaniel doesn’t guard Luka “better than anyone in the NBA” lmao not even close, he’s an elite defender but too skinny for Luka. Also “Mavs don’t play defense” is hilariously wrong. Mavs have been the best defense in the NBA since they got healthy after the trade deadline and that’s poured over into the playoffs. Mavs are the 2nd best defense left. Even over Boston due to being a better rebounding and rim protection team. Austin has no clue what he’s talking about. I don’t say this to say the Mavs will cook the wolves by any means, but I’m saying the Mavs definitely have a chance. I personally have the Mavs in 6, but I’m a biased Mavs fan. Wolves are great and wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they won and they probably deserve to be the favorites after beating Denver the way they did, but put some respect on Dallas. We’re not some fluke team who lucked into the WCF. I think whoever wins this wins the finals depending on how KP comes back for Boston. Either way we’re in for a phenomenal series.
