And for many years after that, including the documentary, he has always given him credit and praise. Scottie also had MJ induct him into the HOF. I just recently found a video on youtube of Scottie at a hornets game surprising MJ in his owners box and both hugging and happy to see each other. Scottie all these years has mostly had good things to say about MJ. So has Scottie been lying all these years and only pretended to like MJ, or is he lying now just to sell books? I think what he and many people missed is that the majority of people were focused on Michael during his era of play. People who didn't watch basketball began watching because of Michael. Back then, men who didn't wear athletic clothing began wearing Nike gear or tennis shoes because of Michael. The brutality Michael experienced on the court and how his little self bounced up off of the ground brought out a special level of intriguing. I got my mom into watching the Bulls before leaving the state. Who was her player? Michael! She got our prissy, feminine, non sports watching neighbor hooked on Michael too. Not Scottie! After moving to another state they would remind each other and call me when Michael was coming on. Not Scottie! My mom and I believe Pippen and the rest of the team played at their level because Michael demanded it. To me, that speaks volumes! Michael was a "rockstar" playing basketball! He's the person who people all over the world wanted to know. It wasn't Pippen nor the others at Michael's level. Yes, we liked the others but we wanted Michael's life. We weren't gloating about Scottie, Kukoc, Kerr, Harper, or Rodman and we loved them. But, at least how I felt back then and even now, our hearts were for Michael. The irony in what Pippen says is........ If Michael wasn't who deserved the stage and Scottie or any of the others was the best player, why haven't they come out with their own documentary? Sales would show who people were interested in. I'm glad he's mad and living a miserable life of envy. Ridiculous! Wouldn't have thought he was such a wussy.

For those people who always bring up "Scottie guarded Magic for the 1991 Finals," going back to the film, it was found that Jordan guarded him about 85% of the time. The legend/myth of Scottie guarding Magic has become completely over exaggerated. Scottie did do a good job on Magic for a few quarters in Game 2, but the majority of the time in the other 4 games, it was Jordan guarding Magic. After the 1991 Finals was finished, Scottie Pippen himself said, "I think Michael realized that by stepping up and putting a lot more pressure on Magic, and I think that's why Phil stuck with Michael because he was able to put a lot more pressure than what he did in Game 1." That confirms that it was Jordan who was primarily guarding Magic for that series.

Thr funniest thing from Scottie's statement is that he and MJ's "supporting cast" had the chance to win without him and couldn't get it done, then he asked for MJ to return on national television. MJ in fact returned and once they had a full season with him they established the wins record and won more championships. What was the deciding factor in them winning more titles? Michael Jordan. He carried the most burden and elevated others to play to his demands and standard, regardless of their opinion on him as a teammate, his attitude and mindset is what pushed other to give their best within the Bulls' system.
