It was horrendous clock management. If the receiver drops the ball, they have to kick the field goal immediately rather than getting another shot at the end zone. If he catches it but gets tackled at the 1, they get no points off the interception. UNLV got the best of all possible results, but a Vegas fan shouldn't confuse expectation with results.

Kansas OC Grimes is in over his head, Kansas defense balled out. UNLV had 28 non QB rush attempts only had 1 rush over 10yds, 7 completions for the game and Ricky White & De Jesus were held to 10yds receiving combined yet UNLV won this game on the road. Credit to UNLV for sticking to their run heavy identity and credit to their defense being good enough situationally to steal this game.

Graduated UNLV in 2002 and 2004, and in the 6 years we lived there, I don’t recall ever being excited about our football team (but i always had hope!) So proud of the team for putting in the work and getting it done. And proud to be a Rebel!

Kansas and Virginia Tech. two of the most overhyped teams in the offseason. UNLV had under 300 total offensive yards, 6 drops, horrible time management going into halftime before Kansas allowed a TD, and Kansas still lost the game. I had my TV on the Arizona @ K-State game. First time I checked in on this game, it was 7-3. Second time I checked in it was 14-3, and I thought, "Okay, Kansas is taking care of business, just like K-State is. Third time I checked it was 20-16, I thought, "Okay, Kansas is going to win a good, close game." After K-State won, I checked and Kansas had lost. A freaking chop block that wasn't even necessary to the play. This isn't last year's Kansas team. Hopefully they're better than Baylor and Houston.
