They try and sell us on Mississippi and ole muss every year, Texas A&M and Missouri aren't havent even been in the conference that long. Aubrun and LSU have 1 good season every 3 years. Peach Bowl and some in the Rose Bowl is a good example, The Birmingham Bowl majority of Auburn’s seniors on defense opted out/left with the addition of Smoke getting ejected mid-game. I watch Michigan football, I don't know if I'm a fan because I'm too critical, But I could tell after Georgia's first Touchdown that this game was over. Way overhyped for nothing. They didn't deserve the Oline award after this showing. Gattis doesn't have bad schemes to get the wideouts/backs open just Cade doesn't read fast enough and anticipate his throws. The sec has been the best conference for so long. In the last decade Alabama, Auburn, and LSU have all won titles. Georgia and Auburn have now both been to a few title games in just the last 10 years. 4 of the top 5 recruiting classes from last year were sec and that’s not an anomaly…it just goes on and on. Should not be any question about the sec having the best conference year in year out. Especially, the SEC West.

Since the playoff format has been around I haven't seen any real reason to have a 4 team playoff. Every year two teams blows out the other two. The point of the playoff was to get more from each conference, not keep plugging in two SEC teams every year to make sure they brought the Southern viewing market every year. I haven't watched a national championship since the first time they had a replay of the SEC championship, and honestly haven't missed it. What so many fail to realize about the SEC is how deep and old the rivalries of the core teams are. This is what has always made the conference schedule so competitive. With the exceptions of Kentucky and Vanderbilt, no one in the SEC was ever safe on Saturday. In the old days of the SWC, the Big 8, Pac 8, The big 8 etc., those conferences always had a couple of top teams and the rest were scrubs. The SEC was different and this is one reason why so few SEC teams won National Championships, because it was so hard to go undefeated in conference play. This is why I am glad about the college football playoffs and want to see them expanded. I like seeing it settled on the field and not by opinion polls.

But in 2006 when ohio state and michigan were 1 and 2. Played and michigan only lost by like a touchdown if my mind remembered right. They said that would never work with two same conference teams playing for a championship I know that was pre big ten championship and pre playoff but still. But the sec always get what they want
