People wondering why he is so much attached to Pakistan players and islam is coz he grew up playing domestic level cricket in Pakistan and dreamed about becoming a pakistani cricketer. He got offer from both the International teams ie SA and Pak. He decided to play for Pakistan but his wife wanted him to play for SA as the lifestyle, facility, coaching, and future was better in South Africa as compared to pakistan. He even tried playing for pakistan in 2019 but he was not able to due to some technicality. He still says in public that he will play for Pakistan if PCB offers him any contract. He also says that he is only staying in South Africa coz of his family or else he would move back to pakistan. Hence his all cricketing answers are for Pakistan.
