So I'm a Galaxy fan (and I support Man United), so I have no historical reason to root for Inter Miami, but watching Messi light up stadiums game after game, scoring brilliant top-corner goals, playing sublime passes for critical assists, and smiling while leading Inter to their first trophy and maybe more ... well this is just special to witness. Go on, Messi!

Listen, this is those games which is reason why we love football. There is no reason why they win except, “magic”. I remember Ronaldo at inter Milan, Ronaldino at Paris, Sony Anderson, if you love soccer it s not about number of goal or money. But the pass on second goal is just something which will stay in your head. How, how did he timed this… Magic

What are these commentators complaining about….Yes Messi is special enough for players and coaches that he beats to want to take a selfie and greet him….it was being done to him in Europe, regularly. It doesn’t mean you didn’t fight hard enough or don’t care about losing. It rather means , you’re mature enough to accept the lost , and still admire the quality of your adversary.

This Moreno guy is soo wrong, just talked like a selfish idiot, it's a game and teams fight until it's finishes, after that they are partners in game, the sport unites, is not about ego and Messi is bringing that joy to a country who doesn't know well the game, those players earned a great gift because when Messi retires, all those pictures will worth for generation, if my father have a picture with Messi and tells me about it, that's priceless, that Moreno guy needs to be humble. Totally agreed. What happened on the pitch leaves it on the pitch. People who are unable to take a picture with the opposition players are sore losers. They can't accept their loss and move one. The cincinati players clearly gave it their all on the pitch. They can proudly get photos with Messi after the match.

Greatest dribbler of all time, one of the greatest playmakers of all time, greatest assist maker of all time, one of the greatest free kick takers of all time, one of the greatest goal scorers of all time, he plays in front, he drops deep, he plays in the right and sometimes on the left. Messi is the GREATEST most COMPLETE footballer in the history of football. If he isnt an alien he is God's gift to us all. Saying all that, i think we can not blame players that compete in the MLS for wanting a picture or an autograph of Messi. It also happened in PSG when he played in Ligue 1, it wasnt as frequent but players from the opposite team would ask Messi for an autograph or a selfie. It even happend in the WC , Australian players asked Messi for a picture after they had just been disqualified out of the WC by Argentina.

I do understand from where they're coming from but once the game is over, so should all the animosity. Messi is loved and respected universally not just because of his greatness but also because of his personality. USA isn't a strong footballing nation compared to European countries and MLS players never in a million years expected to play alongside or against Messi. They played a great game against Messi and his team. It's bad that they've lost but why should that prevent them from meeting and taking the picture with the person who is quite literally the greatest player of all time in the most popular sport of the planet? They might never have this opportunity in their life again. Sportsmanship is a virtue and it should never be considered as weakness

Taking photos with Messi after the game is a sign of love, respect and admiration to this “old” GOAT who they look at as an elder brother close to their heart. I find it completely odd to negatively comment on this unless Messi was very young player. You need to know that these young players grew up from childhood while watching the GOAT over years and dreaming becaming like him. This is something you don’t understand. If you still love your idol after defeating, it is a sportsmanship at its highest level. Their love to him is far bigger than their sadness of losing a game.

I really don't understand what the issue is about players asking Messi for an autograph. Cincinnati players played very well and competed with pride and effectiveness. They showed no admiration or respect for Messi during the game. But once the game is over, this is not war, folks. It's just football. Nobody's life is on the line here. I think it's an admirable display of sportsmanship to acknowledge a player who is arguably the greatest of all time after being defeated by him. What are they supposed to do? Go off to the dressing room and pout? One day those players will be able to tell their grandchildren that they played and lost a semifinal game to the legendary Lionel Messi. And they can do so with pride, because during the game, they gave their all and they virtually shut him down. Any other player who would've been conceded only 2 chances in the entire game may well have missed them. But this Lionel Messi. If you really love football, nobody can blame you for wanting an autograph or a photo with the guy who's played it better than anybody in the world for almost 20 years. There won't be another Messi for a very long time, if ever.

1) If an opponent go after a match to try get a picture with Messi, is totally understandable. As you said, he's the greatest of all time, probably it has more value for your future descendants for you to show them a picture with him and being able to say that you played against him, that you won a Leagues Cup. That said, I don't see any of the other teams not trying to win, I see them trying their best to do it, they just cannot. 2) Apart from what I said previously, the opponents are really trying to stop Messi, they just cannot stop him. He has been doing these kind of things since ever, against the best players in Real Madrid, City, United, Juventus, Milan, Brazil, France or whatever other team out there. And it always seemed they're just not trying enough, that's just cause how good he is, they make other players look like they're just amateurs. 3) Another example on how opponents are trying to mark Messi all the time: The third goal came when Cremaschi had the ball, Messi ran, 2 Cincinnati players ran to catch him, and thanks to that there was a hole in the defense that Josef Martinez could get advantage of. The issue is that is beyond difficult for a defense just to be 100% focused in stopping a player that can kill you in so many different ways, and at the same time being focused in no leaving spaces for the rest of the team, during 90 (or 120 minutes in this case). 4) By the way, there's also the tactic of just start fouling him, and must say that Messi's best version, comes when he's angry, it's like the Hulk, you don't want him angry. Just a little example, they said that the only team that didn't ask for a picture after the game and that really tried to take him down, was against Orlando City, he ended up with 2 goals, that could have been 3 if he wouldn't be the best also at empowering his teams and gave the Penalty to Martinez so he can boost up his confidense.

The truth is, either you win or you lose, doesn't change anything. The game already ended and yes we ain't talking about just an ordinary player, we are talking about a goat, a player you might not get an opportunity to meet again. Taking an autograph doesn't mean you disrespect the club or the fans, it shows you appreciate genius and I don't think anything is wrong with that. As said, don't forget Messi inspired a lot of these guys💯. Moreno couldn't just admit the fact that he would do the same thing if he meets someone that inspires him. Man always talked against Messi before he won the world cup and now he's saying he doesn't care if he's Messi. Moreno should learn how to appreciate greatness and forget and don't let your emotions get in your way. This isn't a final and you can't lose on the pitch and also lose on lifetime opportunity

In case of the second assist, Messi made that space with his touch before that, and defenders has to also watchout for a throughball or a key pass. Cannot really find fault with them. And mind you, the third goal of Miami was without Messi touching the ball, may be they were worried more about Messi that time. There was a few moments in first half where i was disappointed with some Miami players for not passing to Messi in promising positions.

Yes, Gomez and Motta do not know how to play with Messi and Butquets. They didn’t find Messi at his favorited areas. Campana don’t know how to do one - two and play off the ball to get off markings. In general the choice for midfield yesterday failed, they even made the team more tired. Miami need at least 1 midfield player along side Busquets. I don’t know but I want Taylor as the left attacker.

@@bjj99 I know, I was angry at one or two situations when Ruiz tried to dribble and Messi was free. Miami’s player should know that no one is effective like Messi at these situations. If your team is winning, it’s okay to do something risky, but if your team is losing and only a few chances come, let the best player does. Ruiz is young player, he will develop games after games. I put more weights on Cremaschi, this guy has a calm, something similar to Pedri at Barca, and I think he would be great in future!
