If you have penalty kicks, it is generally 50/50 on any given day. So if Argentina went 6-5 in those 11 "draws" then their "losses" would become 7 times in fives years, which is still remarkable but not nearly as much as just two. And no overtime in the semifinal for the better team to prove it, so that could be a factor as well, increasing the "chances" of Canada advancing. Of course i'd rather put $1,000 on Argentina to advance than $50 on Canada, but it isn't a sure thing at this particular moment in time. Three or ten or twenty years ago Canada would have needed a miracle to win, but as i see it all they need on Tuesday is a couple lucky breaks. That's why they play the games afterall.

I am a lover of Canada, I'm not from there, but I love the country a lot.. And of course, these so-called football pundits will write off Canada, that they stand no chance of victory especially because of Messi.. But they are only superior to Canada on paper.. In their previous encounter, Canada also had good goal scoring opportunities, but they just weren't clinical, and this is the area they will have to improve in, if they wish to advance.. Their match vs Ecuador is another encouraging sign.. They can be beaten, because their defense is not impenetrable, there will be chances, probably not too many, and that's why you guys will need to be even more clinical, because they will definitely get chances, but if you should be compact at the back, you can limit those chances, but no one can fall asleep not even for a second, else, you will be in trouble, so it has to be a collective effort.. And try not to concede early, the longer the match goes on being scoreless, the more you guys will be in the game.. Canada has NO quality striker. Just look at their games, none of their forward is a "killer" There lies the only obstacle in a potential win against Argentina which has only quality strikers.
