But if we're going to put Josh over Lamar then he needs to be held to the same standard. It's so funny to hear the case for Lamar's MVP is "he is having a historic QB year. His rating is 121.6. 2nd only to Rodgers at 122.5." Rodgers in 2011 had 502 pass attempts compared to Lamar's 442. He also went 14-1 compared to Lamar's current 11-5. He also didn't have a top 20 RB compared to Lamar's #2 overall. Lamar may be having his best season, but it isn't historic. Not even close to the real greats of the past. If I compared Lamar to Brady's 2007 or Manning's 2013, it looks even worse.

Allen's playoff records are against weaker schedules and wildcard games while Lamar faced better teams and sat out multiple wildcard games. And they've both just made it as far - which is what is more important.
