Along time ago i was in a similar predicament, very remote, I luckly had a tube of urethane(not silicone) and i took tyre off and open up hole put a big mushroom patch on inside to outside of tyre, let it cure for couple day put it back on trailer. I wore that tyre down to depth gauges (15yrs) not a leak ever. I still carry a tube of urethane. Its more versitile than silicone.

Mate, that's an awesome idea. I was going to change the tire as well with the one we had but remembering I tried once without the reaming tool and ended up damaging the rim. Thanks for the tip 😃

Another beautiful isolated place you showcased. Yes I believe it would be amazing place with water flowing through the gorge. Sorry to see you had trailer tire trouble. (but you resolved it and overcame this problem). Safe adventures!

Cheers mate, same to you.

Country like that you would need no more than 28psi, that will reduce the chance of that sort of tyre damage from rocks. They can flex a lot more. Just don’t go more than 80k an hour.

Agree mate, we were running 30 but I should have dropped it more in hindsight. Live and learn 😆
