■About me
Hi, I’m Nao. I was born in Yokohama and grew up in a Buddhist temple in the countryside of Hyogo prefecture. Life in urban and rural areas and unique experiences in a temple can bring other perspectives on Japanese things.
I love sharing Japanese things with you, so please always tell and ask me what kind of videos you want to see in the comments.

We arrived by train in Hakuba in Dec at 6pm and it was snowing, and very dark already. No one was at the station at all. Just when we thought we were stranded, the host lady from our budget guest house showed up with her minivan! She said she checked time when we would arrive and thought we needed to be picked up. Bless her soul!!!

Have been knocking myself out trying to figure out how to avoid renting a car to visit some places and finally concluded I needed to forget it and rent a car. I'm seeing Airbnbs in most places and one of the owners told me to "please be careful."

Thank you for watching! Renting a car helps you a lot but is also a bit challenging for sure😃 Airbnb is also a good option but not sure there are many options in the countryside...you know more than me may be.haha
