I carry a quart of oil incase of a roll over. If the bike sits upside down for a period of time the oil will slowly drain out. Also, if you have a diff seal go out, you have a little oil to put in to get you home.
@JoshuaGammon3 жыл бұрын
Good call on the oil. I used to do that on my older bikes but the so far the new ones are great, but still should carry it.
@bryanbrowning57462 жыл бұрын
I’d suggest two things to add:1. A short handled garden spade with a solid handle, because even with a winch, sometimes digging around the tires is needed. Mine is a Cold Steel brand Spetsnaz shovel that also has a sharpened edge for chopping. 2. A water resistant spark plug protector for the spare plug, especially if you carry in that rear compartment. A rusty spark plug will do you no good! Otherwise, very well thought out presentation!

Great video, but there is one thing I never leave home without. I have a pair of Garmin Rino 750 GPS's .I know they are expensive but with the two way radio and the ability to pinpoint your partners location. imo they are well worth the money. I always take one and leave one with my wife at home just incase I don't make it home and I always let her know what area I'm exploring. Happy trails everyone.

I would also suggest a collapsable shovel of some sort, comes in handy more than you'd think. Maybe some sort of water purification, in case fire isn't an option, Lifestraw's are cheap and work well, as do the little tablets. A small tow strap is a good thing to have as well, in case of a breakdown by you or someone else you may be riding with/encounter.
