So the last video was a very short one from Loch Droma Buidhe where we actually got a lot of walking. Beautiful spot the anchorage here has really good holding the entrance is very straight forward looks worse on a chart. So we leave this remote anchorage it was a foggy damp cold morning with zero wind and we were on route to loch Aline just a short hope down the sound of Mull. Soon after leaving this is were I found out a lot more about this covid virus as we now had good signal ( I have my own thoughts on this virus and facts and figures but I won’t get into that) so I was now very alert to what was happening and I had some very important moves to make. An hour of research on the way down and I knew the Arctic Circle trip had to be cancelled...so that was the start of some important moves I had to make and continue to monitor the rest of this trip keeping Darren, just because and myself safe from the so called evil virus. Anyway we made to the beautiful loch Aline we went to the very bottom well out of the way put the anchor down and it gripped straight away... it held great but we had no bad weather so 🤷♂️. We went for some food in the small village store along the way we met a couple that followed the videos and had a nice chat... loch Aline locals were very friendly no dramas here at all. People understood you had to eat like the rest of the world are means of transport just happened to be different but much safer....on the return from the shop we met the couple again and they offered to give us tinned food crisps and chocolate of their boat..now how nice was that it was very much appreciated and it showed the very caring and nice side of some Scottish sailors if a lot more of these groups and judgmental people on them it would take a leaf out of these peoples book it would be much better for the Scottish sailing scene #fact. The loch Aline store was ok but not just for the shop wee needed plus we needed gas. Stayed here a couple of days anyway and visited the old castle on the Isle of Mull. So if any of you know the history of the old ruins it would be great to hear in the comments. This was planned we watched paths and roads for a day and night before I made the decision to walk here...but like everyone else we needed exercise so I deemed we were no risk to anyone we were the ones at risk from virus zombies. After a few days here we needed to get a proper shop and lots of water cause I was making my plans to keep this boat at sea and sit this virus out .....we were for Oban. (There will be a video in the coming weeks and I’m going to be brutally honest on it and some arnt going to like what I have to say) I had text ahead of going down which was a mistake tbh when I now look back on it for a few reasons...( not everyone understands the situation and you always have haters and jealous people) we had a a complete gentleman who brought us down gas never charged us a penny another great example of how generous and decent some Scottish sailors can be..and a lot of these Scottish groups should adopt some examples from these kind of people cause it would show you in a better light. So we get our gas and a good shop from Tesco...was funny cause we thought this virus was crazy ..people wearing masks and gloves and alsorts ...then you get into Tesco’s and people leaning over you ...this is were we felt at great danger ...so it was time to piss f back to sea where we were safe from virus zombies and big mouthed people. There was many people wishing me safe home and thinking we where for heading home. That was never my intention I had made my mind up to stay at sea and come for food when needed until this silly carryon was easing up. I’ve seen a few peoples true colours during these times I’ve just not said anything to them personally as it says more about them than us. Anyway guys it hasn’t been easy so far and it certainly isn’t easy posting this video as I’m on a hill in the wild wet Scotland getting signal to get this video out... hope you enjoy and be safe out there⛵️
