Hi. Can you explain how this is used? I don't speak Spanish. Do you just stare at the middle of the screen, or do you follow a dot and pick another one to follow? Any instructions would be appreciated.

Hi there. Thank you for your comment. This video can be used for some types of dizziness, especially those related with mobile environments (such as markets, busy streets, subway stations..., people moving around...). Your doctor will tell you if this exercise is suitable for your specific condition. You just have to look at the screen and your brain will do all the work. It's a reflex called optokinetic. I usually want my patients to do it twice a day, but it depends on the case..

@@GabrielTrinidadRuiz Dr. Ruiz, I have one more question. If someone does this two times a day, how long before there are changes? I know everyone is different, but can someone expect to see improvement in a month, 6 months, a year? Just a rough estimate would be appreciated. Thank you.

@@0secure12 If the objective of the exercise is to improve compensation immediately after an acute vestibular syndrome, there should be noticeable changes quite soon (i.e days-weeks). If it is used to treat visual dizziness, there is much more variability, and it would also take more time to get significant improvements. Anyway, Vestibular Rehabilitation should not rely on only one exercise. Each patient needs a specific protocol including several routines and designed to target their specific symptoms, physical condition and background.

Con qué frecuencia debo hacer estos ejercicios?
@GabrielTrinidadRuiz4 жыл бұрын
