I picked this up from my post office yesterday. You said that the color is a touch too deep for you...based on that assessment I bought that exact shade (I am NC44-ish) and it is my perfect color. :) It's such a challenge matching my skin tone, so I am glad that it worked out well. It took such a small amount (like 3 finger dabs, inverting the bottle with my finger over it) to cover my entire face and I worked in sections to address the quick dry down time. The formula is pretty good for my combo skin. I may be speaking too soon, but I think this may become my holy grail foundation (during warmer weather months)! It's no wonder why it is one of the top selling foundations. Thanks for the great review! Your cat is adorable.

Samantha Jane try 4W1 honey bronze. Some NC 42 ladies use cashew but it's very yellow. I watched KZbin videos of ladies that I know are NC 42 that tested this foundation and it match me perfectly also.

LOVE my Honey Bronze too ! I mix the Cashew with Honey Bronze with beautiful results. For a primer I apply one pump of Becca Backlight primer. So pretty !!!!! Yes I insert a MAC pump too !

I’m so glad I found your channel. I threw out all my foundation on a massive declutter at the start of the pandemic, and have been wanting to try new (at least new for me!) brands now that we’re going out into the world again. I picked up Aruba based on your NARS Soft Matte Foundation video, and when that turned out to be a great match, I knew you’d be a reliable shade reference. The Estée Lauder shade range at our local counters is extremely limited and I had to buy mine online, so this video helped me find my shade. I picked up the 4W2 precisely because you mentioned it was a touch too deep on you, which turned out to be the perfect shade match now that I’m tanned from being at the beach.

Best review i've seen for this foundation. I have terribly oily skin and struggled with the application at first (the product balled up on my nose or sunk right down into my large pores). I tried this with the SmashBox pore primer and found that is actually dried out my oily skin too much - who would have thought!! So back to square one. I am determined to make this foundation work for me!!

Samantha Jane if your super oily like me try estee lauder double wear mixed with hourglass immaculate liquid to powder. This is the BEST mattifying full coverage makeup combo i have ever tried. Only recommended for extremely oily skin, moisturize well. Ps mix the foundation very well with end of eyeshadow brush or it will look patchy when it dries.

mochi♥rocks It is cashew. I haven't noticed any pink at all and I haven't turned "oompa loompa" when wearing it. YMMV, of course. But cashew is the only color that works for me, as it's true some of the colors run pink.

I use cashew when tanned and find it really lovely colour really yellow but if I'm really tanned I find it not dark enough but the shade up honey bronze is so pink I don't understand how they can class some of them as yellow based I haven't tried toasty toffee but it looks to dark can anyone help if toasty toffee runs more yellow than honey bronze

Samantha Jane I second the Korean skincare, I've never had such beautiful skin. If you like to exfoliate but want something gentle try CosRx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. It's comparable to Paula's Choice BHA but gentler (and cheaper) due to the betaine salicylate versus full blown salicylic acid. 😁

Ahh! I just moved to Saskatoon, so I've been trying to settle in. I have it ordered from Sephora and should be here tomorrow, actually! I'm testing it out with their correcting concealer and the Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer. I'm hoping I picked the right colour for the foundation (since there's 30 shades), and I have the feeling that I might have to return the foundation and get a different shade. But I'll let you know my thoughts on it when it arrives! I've heard mixed reviews, some people loving it and some not so much.

I love this foundation, however, the shade range isn't great for pale skin imo, I basically just got given the lightest shade, and it's undertone isn't great for me but it's literally the only foundation that I can wear all day without becoming a huge grease ball. It can feel heavy after a long day. It's still the only foundation I can wear, it's expensive enough that I'm too terrified to try another high end foundation because this works. For comparison, I pay $70 nzd, which is like 65 CAD. Same product different price, story of my nz life.

Oh wow, that is so pricey :( Have you ever seen foundation lightening drops? The body shop, face atelier and NYX have them. As well, Kat Von D released some paler shades of foundation that could match!

There are no stores which stock Kat Von D, only online - which makes me nervous with colour matching. But ill look into the drops, such a good idea! NYX was only recently brought into stores in my area, and doesn't have a huge collection. But I'm sure the body shop will. THANK YOU :*
