The couple took advantage of everyone in their family, For money. If they would have told the truth, someone would have helped I'm sure. They way they did it was horrible and just shows how much they don't care. If someone can't give them something they turn their backs on them. They will never be trusted. Maybe in a few years, something will change to have the family forgive them but that's a crystal ball moment. Personally I'd just leave them to their life and live without contact. The MOH and Bride's family are NOT responsible for paying for the Bachelorette party. Each participant (excepting the Bride-to-Be of course) is expected to chip in, it's the MOH who is tasked with organizing the party, and setting the amount that each participant is expected to pay. In most cases it's the Bride's family who pays for the wedding. That goes back to the days when the Bride's family paid a "Dowry" to the Groom's family (which is still the case in some parts of the world). Quite literally paying them to take the girl off their hands.
