@@DocSnipes wait, you said high cortisol lowerstestostron. But in all sources i´ve read the opposite:High cortisol is increasing the androgenes (testosteron). Plus i do have very low progesteron which is also showing through symptoms like not having a cycle anymoe but bleeding constantly, taking progesteron as a pill can´t fill up this heavy deficency.

This info is golden! It would be awesome to hear about the role of progesterone in men too though. I was nearly crippled a few months ago and trt did nothing for me except for horrible sides. I was then introduced to progesterone by a bodybuilder and voilá, fast forward four months and I was squatting heavy like in my youth, riding my bicycle aggresively again at the mountains, became able to tie my shoes again and basically resumed my everyday life pain free.

Did you stop with the testosterone, or supplement TRT with progesterone? Im on the same page. 2 years on TRT with intermittent success but mostly failure. Thinking of asking doctor for progesterone
@OlafThorbjorn2 жыл бұрын
@@kurolap7882 absolutely no testosterone. I dropped it for the gyno that not even a.i. would stop, the high blood pressure, the oily smelly skin, the mood swings.... I know it sounds weird, but it is what it is and I haven't noticed any downfalls with the progesterone. No depression, no erectile disfunction, I'm even a better person towards everyone, specially my wife and kid. The most important benefit for me is that I stopped feeling my hips and back were made out of glass ready to snap. Getting off my bed was a very painful "activity". I have always been a driven individual and the progesterone backed the clock for me to more youthful times. Nevertheless, I do have to say that I have been cheating with the progesterone regimen now, often forgetting to take it for days. It's like it had reset something I don't know.

@@kurolap7882, if you decide to go in the direction of Progesterone don't ask your doctor. The best absorption of Progesterone is through natural Progesterone cream ( life flow brand for example). Unfortunately MD becides few have no knowledge about Progesterone neither for women nor for men. You can look up on KZbin Dr John R. Lee about Progesterone as well Ray Peat. There's a book by Dr John R. Lee Progesterone and man. Don't remember the exact title

Having the same issues on TRT, found a doc that prescribed 100mg of progesterone and lots of the sides went away however all the drive and motivation to lift is gone. Is there a doc or something recommended?

We will put it on the list. Thanks for letting us know. // We used to record through Zoom. As Zoom became more popular, we started having some cut outs. We now record locally to avoid the issue.

Please understand that hysterectomy refers to removal of the UTERUS only. That surgery has NOTHING to do with removing the ovaries. A complete hysterectomy means the uterus and cervix was removed while a partial hysterectomy means the uterus was removed while the cervix was left in place.

@josephmanning16473 жыл бұрын
I got some from PipingRock (dot com). They seem to be reasonably priced (~10 for 2 Oz). Not sure the strength but proably good for a man to use 1/4 teaspoon a day.

It’s an antidepressant medicine

Serotonin causes anxiety? TOO little serotonin causes anxiety and mood disorders. The only way that can happen is a rare condition named serotonin syndrome, by too much antidepressants or combination of medications and substances.

*When a 21 year old male has Testosterone levels of 900 (I did) or more why do they have great heads of hair? Why can 21 year old men pee 7 feet on demand with Testosterone levels of 900? It's not effecting their prostate either! There is a LOT more going on than just high Testosterone levels. Can anyone tell me the WHOLE hormone story of what is going on in a younger males blood? There MUST be a reason these SOARING high testosterone levels make hair grow fast and shrink the prostate in the younger male population. In fact my hair fell out and my prostate grew by 60% in the 5 year period from ages 31 to 36 EXACTLY when my Testosterone levels dropped by 70%. I went to the Dr. ever year and have my full hormone history in writing from ages 21 to 58 - What am I missing here??? It seems to me young men should not have any hair and their prostates should be ready to explode so it can't be JUST the Testosterone since those levels PEAK from 18 to 28 years of age. What and I missing?*

Interesting. Maybe DHEA has more of an effect on hair
@johnmoore1495 Жыл бұрын
They haven’t lost their hair nor has their prostates grown because it takes androgens and *time.* Some men just lose hair rapidly and suddenly when others lose it slowly over decades, it mostly comes down to genetics. As for you though, it’s possible you’re converting more testosterone to DHT, which is theorized to happen as we age. DHT enlarges the prostate and is the primary androgen responsible for hair loss. Also if your progesterone has for some reason dropped that will also increase conversion of testosterone to DHT. Progesterone competes for the same enzyme (5-alpha reductase) so if progesterone drops, more enzyme is available for testosterone to be converted to DHT.
