Tell me about... Vehicle design vs. climatic conditions and conditions of the particular roads of Canada (Quebec)? (Paint vs salt roads or abrasive spraying, battery vs +30C and -40C, protection under the vehicle, suspension)? What kind of after-sales service can we expect? Points of service? The price and time of receipt of orders for parts? The manufacturer's written warranties are?

I saw this car at the Montreal Electric Auto show yesterday and this car looks impressive. And what can I say about the price… $45,000.00 CAD for the premium version, that is unbeatable. It was by far the most spacious car I saw. Built quality appeared very good. Looking forward to a test drive once they are here in Canada next year

So this is the Skywell ET5 ? Not the Skyworth EV6 (some markets also ET5) ? Nor the Tianmei ET5 wich was the original brand the vehicle came under in 2020 if i remember correctly ... I read in a chinese article that a 6 seater version with updated front & rear would be coming early 2023 .

the Battery pack is 72 KW/h not 72 KW must of been a slip of the tongue. two more thing I notice the second charge port on the driver side is not there on the white car SANDY MUNRO received for testing and you mentioned that both side has DC charging capability but the one we saw on the video is not a CCS combo receptacle maybe a Chinese version ?

@@markmark5269 it’s not a stupid question it’s very valid because the car they were showing was a Chinese market car it’s similar to a EV company in Texas that imported several cars and they said they were ready to sell them and it never happened because they could not pass the US/ Canada requirements. What is the real-world range? 400km? and in the Canadian winter less than that?

@@markmark5269 300 km in the winter time?
@markmark52692 жыл бұрын
@@mrnumbskull1 If you're lucky. A recent trip in 5 degrees with rain to add to the cooling effect, resulted in 210 kms for 80% of my range. That's 260kms, or exactly 50% of stated 520kms range. I was sitting on 110 to 115 kmh all Freeway, no city.
@swedenevguru84832 жыл бұрын
In Sweden Skywell ET5 is 400 Km range in WLTP cycle. If you take Winther and wet roads and 115 Km/h ofc you get less range. Take dryroads at 90 Km/h and -5 degrees Celsius you will get more range then above claim.

Nice but we need the $20k cars from China showing up here, not these pricey cars. China is doing it right. They have EV's that anyone can afford.
@JasonWW20002 жыл бұрын
For a US price of around 35k for this much luxury I'd say its a winner. We do need it in the US, but a cheaper, less luxurious vehicle is also appreciated.
@markmark52692 жыл бұрын
@@JasonWW2000 Top of the range in China is under $30K, I own one (520kms range, heated seats, 19" wheels, self drive features, etc) is how I know.
@JasonWW20002 жыл бұрын
@@markmark5269 Yes, but you have to keep in mind the cost of shipping overseas as well as the addition import taxes, etc... Even currency exchange can add to the price. I believe the labor rate in China is much lower than US which is why their production cost is lower. So you will never see the China price when it's shipped to the US. Even the Canadian company importing and selling them takes a percentage. For them to sell a car in the states costs extra as well. So by the time its for sale in the US, a mid level version is $35k, which is what Munro Live paid for theirs. (I think theirs is either mid level or top level, I'm not sure)

But this are a SUV and Nio ET5 are not. Nio ES6 are more likely in size and Suv. But Nio are also alot more expensive atleast when i seen prices in Norway and Nio will begin to sell in Sweden this year I heard but not in my price range. Skywell ET5 are a car atleast i can afford with a normal salary.
