Is this the Best Android Gaming Controller? In this video, I take a look at the new Glap Android gaming controller also known by some as the Dragon Slay Titan controller. The company Glap claims this is the best overall controller for your android phone and it fits up to a 7.5-inch screen, but how good is it for native android games like Minecraft and Fortnite and how well does it work with emulators such as Dolphin for GameCube or PPSSPP for PSP? With a price tag go $80+ USD is it worth it?

Over time we will gradually start to see more devices switch over to USB Type-C, it's more expensive to implement and not as common at the moment, the main point with USB Type-C is that both ends can easily use the same connector, not more faffing about with different connectors on the end, one cable to do it all

Xiaomi's blackshark 2 has a game pad with type C though it costs 500$ to get both the controllers if you're not buying the phone itself which comes with the left side

Great review. Have you tried the steelseries controller for the not 10+? I want to buy a controller but really prefer a playstation style stick configuration. The glap looks awesome but I would like it more if it had the sticks on the bottom. Please let me know if you have info on the steelseries and witch one is better the glap or the steelseries.

I've been using the Ipega 9087s for a while now and it's served me well but the step up in quality with this controller is extremely tempting, largely the analogue sticks. Think I'm going to have to ave up for one.

You mentioned that using a single finger per site for the shoulder buttons is not practical on this controller, but isn't it common to use one finger for each of the four shoulder buttons? I think it'd be nice if there was a system built into this that let you map the buttons for it to tap parts of the screen like you can drag a circle labeled X on your screen and when you clicked X that part of the screen would get tapped

Barely noticeable from my experience, I forget it's even there. I think it's built that way bc there's space so it doesn't block the speakers but it still needs to hold the controller in place

I don't know the exact reason. Tried everything, glap firmware update, huawei emui downgrade, and always the same result... Laggy and ghost pushes. Finally returned the glap, I wish they launch a new version compatible in near future

Yep, pretty interesting that they put big buttons, big analog sticks and all that on the gamepad... but both the price and bulk of it do not appeal to me. The bulk itself is great for ergonomics (though I think they should've gone with a more wing shapped gamepad like design), but as my main personal use for something like this would be on trips, it's just another bulky thing to carry. I have recently received an iPega PG-9087, which is working great for me personally. Buttons and analog sticks are all like... Switch joy-con sized, but it's fine. Plus it was like 20 bucks. xD My ancient OnePlus 3 fits like a glove in it.

Most controllers of this extension style don't usually support the Note 8, I say this from personal experience, without a case you can just about use the controller featured in this video on the right, the one that looks like a PSP, it's made by one OEM then rebranded to suit.

Hello ETA Prime! I bought the controller and found out that it has an input delay on my Huawei p20 pro. Did you have the same problem ?! I was able to fix the problem with an app, but the controller has to be completely re-registered at the beginning ... I can't find anything on the Internet that others have the problem as well. Is it maybe because of the device I am holding in my hand?

Awesome review! I would only debate you in regard to the price.. $30 to $50 is what every other company is charging for theirs. Considering you have all those other options in front of you I'm surprised you didn't make more of a statement about the materials and overall build quality being Superior to every other telescopic controller. Holding other controllers they feel like 3D printed, hollow junk compared to this thing. From the details of the etching on the grips, overall ergonomics, analog L2 and R2 buttons and the placement of the d-pad and action button that just covers the lip of the phone enough to keep it secure.. it's everything you need. Just got mine from Amazon for the Galaxy Fold 2. Again, super awesome and detailed review, but I think you may have leaned a little bit much on your personal preference, versus generalizing and thinking from the outside consumer perspective. This is one of the best portable controller devices available, and worth the premium in every way, I would say especially if you have a Samsung.

i have my gaming PC downstairs as a console style system i used steam link outside the house with an xbox controller and phone clip. worked amazing but i just installed steam link on a fire stick (thanks to your video), so i can play PC upstairs in bed, and now that xbox controller is for that, and a xbox phone clip im not using anymore... so now im looking really hard for a bluetooth controller like this, that would work really well for steam link specifically... i want IPEGA because the price is great, but nobody shows videos on steam link game-play... then there's this one which apparently is good for steam link, but the price is up there.. and also cant seem to find a US vendor.. i dont want to buy another xbox controller.. any recommendations?

Microsoft should make a transformer controller that looks like a normal Xbox controller but can be pulled apart, to fit the phone in the middle. I would pay 80-100$ for that.

I wouldn't, an Xbox controller isn't exactly the most well built of controllers, I can imagine having it split in half with a rail guided extension panel would only make it more likely to break

You don't pay only for materials and the manufacturing, there are licencing fees, engineering cost, tool making costs and marketing costs involved.

Yes, as long as your phone can handle it. I have a note 10+ and only use this controller while connected to Bluetooth headphones as well

It's the controller not GFN. I have this controller and GFN and the lag and deadzones on this are basically non existent if you're using a dual shock 4.

We have 2 glap controllers for note 8 and galaxy 10+ and for whatever reason when tried with app or games they have almost zero latency ... not sure why on different setups they would have higher latencies
