My initial thoughts: Bad 1.) Having to move my roms, instead of point it at my roms, is just plain stupid. 2.) Being unable to use multiple directories for roms is insane - Not everything is on my internal storage. 3.) I really really need to learn how to make themes, there's versatility here, but nothing on offer fits what I want. Good 1.) It's snappy, clean, and feels built for a controller. 2.) It seemed to just find my emulators, I didn't have to link anything. Since I had them setup, it was pretty much just "off you go!" 3.) It let's me sort consoles by release date - the only correct way to sort them. Daijisho doesn't do this.

I wish it just had the option to point it to our Roms folder too, but doing that takes pretty much the same amount of time as moving the roms to the ES roms folder, so I didn't really find it to be a big deal.

HyperSpin, although for sure having it's faults was great, but I don't think it even works on the newer android versions. This will be a great option, especially with nicer themes.

@@mcg9573 Hyperspin was my most recent attempt on the Shield. It’s a very slick interface, there’s no denying it looks amazing. My biggest problem was that there is no easy way to tag favorites or add/remove games. The image I used has thousands of games included; getting to the ones I want to play is a chore.

Honestly the way it has a smooth our subfolders to their folders is much simplified now I can remove some storage and keep it there because if I wanted to I could just move the directory to an external USB and do it that way this app is actually something we've been missing from front ends and I'm glad there are still ways to download this I am setting it up now

Good thing about android emulation is, you don't need a powerful flagship phone like galaxy S series, you can simply buy a cheap sub-100 dollars with "Mediatek Helio G99" Chipset yet it capable to play up to PS2 / Gamecube / Dreamcast / Wii games.

I'm running a Motorola edge Plus 2023 with a 500 gig in the Snapdragon Gen 8 Gen 2 basically same exact thing is what a Samsung Galaxy s24 is The only difference is my camera resolution but other than that man what I give for this phone and the specs it has was absolutely amazing and It comes standard with 500 gig internal memory now The great thing about this phone is you can get any color you want as long as it's black. I still have a mini setup on my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus but it doesn't work as well it just doesn't have the power that this phone does and I mean I'm absolutely flabbergasted what I can run in emulation on my phone. Now I'm using the digiti front end and I really enjoy it I've actually thought about trying to emulation station because I'm putting emu deck on my computer. Just not a big box fan

I have both, launchbox is more customizable, I like being able to port my dekstop collection to android and to customize the way you have your screens setup. but it costs way more. You have to pay for a yearly license or lifetime and then you have to pay emumovies if you want videos.

I have two questions if you don't mind: 1) Is it true that you'll run into problems and issues when running game emulators on a phone with a Mediatek processor, generally speaking? 2) What is the minimum specs to run game emulators on android? amount of RAM, type/model of processor, Android version etc? Can you run game emulators on a Snapdragon 4xx or 4 gen 1/2 ?

Snapdragon have custom custom driver support so it's better in terms of game compatibility. 8gb ram is good enough. Personally, I'm using sd 750g and I can run some switch games, ps2, psp, and below.

Why try it on Windows 11 when Emulation Station exists on Windows as both Retrobat and ES-DE, the latter of which being what's used for the Windows version of EmuDeck?

@@ItsFreakinJesus just asking to gauge how well Windows deals with programs designed to run on arm, as the Snapdragon X Will be running windows and it is an arm CPU. Some leaks show promising performance, so current native versions for Windows may not run on the Snapdragon X version of a laptop. Which supposedly come out this year unless Microsoft is going to do something like Apple did with Rosetta which translates programs to use arm from x86.

No matter what, my emulators do not close when i close the emulator and return to ES. Starting with retroarch emulator, i already map hot keys etc and every time i close retroarch (even from the option for close it on RA main menu), retroarch keeps runing on android in the back. same thing with every other emulator. Any hint ?, i don`t know why ES developers develop a direct option from ES main menu for "kill emulator when exit" as is in Retrobat for windows currently.

Nice! Were you able to configure the hotkeys on gamesir? I tried to configure to open the emulator menu be able to exit it, or even save the state, but when I activate it controls mapped stop working and all buttons lead to exiting the system.

I have this gamesir x3 with a fan but it doesn't fit well with the s22 ultra because of the cameras. I thought I'd try the 8bitdo Xbox clip for controllers or any other suitable one for the S22 Ultra. I don't know which gamepads fit this smartphone format. Most of them go for taplets and are large or for smaller smartphones under 6.8 inches....

Woah. I downloaded it and installed it. The box art etc is great. The themes etc are very good. I was unable to get much to work though. I installed the ROMS on the SD card but got mostly black screens. This is just too hard. Ill just use my old front ends.
