It's not full performance of an actual dgpu because of the pcie lanes only giving out max on most of the handhelds at 4x speeds occulink helps but not many have occulink and there's only one controller that can give you the total 40gbs that usb can do. The reason many people don't like frame gen is because of input latency. At higher framerates its less noticeable, but on low power devices it can feel really bad. Sure the FPS counter goes up and it might look better on video, but actually playing it feels like you're stuck in quicksand. I guess some people are more sensitive to it than others.

On average I'm reading that F1 Pro can get 20% higher performance than Ally X at same TDP. The problem is that the Ally X (and upcoming MSI Claw 8 AI+ also) has 65% more battery capacity. The Ally can therefore mostly close the performance gap by running in turbo mode and still have a longer battery life. So the F1 will mostly outperform when it's plugged using 30 watt TDP. I do appreciate that the F1 Pro is lighter but they should have added some weight back in with a larger battery. The HX 370 model of F1 Pro that can actually outperform Ally X starts at $1699 (versus $799). For the price I would have expected 80 watt hours and would love to even see a handheld with 100 watt hours.

Nothing running more than 60FPS (no FG) to eek out the most out of my battery. And heck, if the display supported VRR, it'd be all the better! Probably not well. Even with the most powerful iGPU, it's not a good idea to use raytracing. Unless you lower everything to low and play in 720p maybe. I'm still going to try it with Cyberpunk once I get my GPD Win4 2025 just for the heck of it. I want to test just how far I could push that chip. Max TDP and see what can still be playable but also do the same for the lowest settings and lowest TDP possible.

@@chamoo232 Doesn't the GPU need to support RT? Doing it in software would be too slow I would think.

@@L337g4m3r Pretty much every GPU can do RT now but it's very demanding performance wise.
