I do enjoy your videos. So nice to watch someone who isn’t manic, shouty and over edited. You make me smile when you refer to yourself as an older creator - I started KZbin aged 62. I’m 67 now and still enjoying the creative process. I started out filming in real film - Super8 cine film back in the 1970s! I learned some basic filming principles back then, but you’re right. Our early stuff on KZbin is a bit crappy but I love being experimental. I have been paid for a couple of videos and am currently working on another paid project. Anyway, I love your videos - they feel like I’m having a chat with a fellow creator. I agree that it’s great to have videos of our younger selves to look back on. I’m currently documenting the whole of my 2024 - a few seconds of each day, to be released just before Christmas . Keep your wise and friendly videos coming. I really appreciate your wisdom. 🙂👍

Whoa, those AI edits were cool! And congrats on the 1k 🎉! I agree, fun to look back at old videos even though it can be really cringy at times 🤣

Well, I'm going to keep my old videos up for sure, now that you've mentioned that! 😳😆

Agree 100%. Nobody is ever ready to make their 1st video, or their 2nd, or their 3rd. But it`s fun to see where you came from.

great content..cool retention hack with the objects popping on and off in the background.

Another informative and entertaining video! Not sure why people would remove any of their content as they help illustrate your personal evolution as a creator. Great to see your audience growing! Looking forward to your next "not so crappy" video 😉

Something we should be doing as KZbinrs is when we see a video we should comment to let the creator know WHY we clicked the video, I’m not over 40 but I was intrested in what was being shared for someone in that position so thanks

I agree; I think the few videos I’ve made so far are hot garbage with more in the can scheduled to be released but it is what it is. I know how to do it. I just need to make what I like to see myself and the rest will take care of itself. Cheers

Imagine you are a car painter, someone who sprays cars for a living. Would you really want your first paint jobs in your portfolio? Your KZbin 'back catalogue' is your work history. Although it's great to look back through our old stuff even just to see how we have improved. Would you really want the viewers to see the 'terrible' stuff. My first 500 videos were terrible in my opinion, but youtube still buys my lunch so I'm not keen on making them private but that's the only reason they are still public. 🙂

It's so funny because people always have something to say. If I have a lot of videos they say wow you have a lot of videos, if I have a little bit of videos they say you only have a little bit of videos. Upload more! I have a thousand because I do a lot of shorts because they help grow the channel plus I just really like sharing different events that we attend. Then I have my main videos which are longer.

This is good. I may just do the same, it’s difficult for me to be boxed into one category at this point, maybe a bit of experimenting with the format will do me some good:-)

Totally - it’s fun to experiment, too! 🙌

Ok, so I am not a fan of the "you stink until you have 100 videos" club. If you simply know how to swim before you jump in the water, you should have no problem. I am 64 and I was making videos way before You Tube came along. In the old days I was the one who made videos at my family's birthday's, including my grandmothers 102-year-old birthday 10 years ago and then put them on DVD and passed them out to the family (yes, if you are over 40 this was how we used to do it). I actually had Adobe Premier Pro and used it to edit events etc. The first video I posted on KZbin was a collaboration with my young daughter: "Summer Simmons, Kid Reporter: Sneak'n Around". it is still on KZbin and i am just as proud of it today as I was 13 years ago. Don't fall for the "You are so awful" experts. Think of how many celebrities wish they had practiced "Throwing Out the First Pitch". They might have not gone viral, but at least they would still have their pride😎

I definitely understand this perspective. There are talented people who are good right off the bat. For me, I know that my early videos lack quality and intentionality… but even so, I keep them out there for the reasons I shared. I appreciate your thoughtful comment!

@@BrandonBautista Thanx! Well, I am going to the hospital in a few weeks, but fingers crossed I would like to host a 40+ Pod cast with you, Silver and Solo and Kitchen Wrangler - Melissa Guerra in about a year when I get my footing. - Roddie 😎

I agree with your thoughts. However, what do you do if you've been making videos since 1964, you're 71 years old and your first video is just as bad as your last? Give up? Take pills? By the way, I have about six followers, including Spielberg, Paul Thomas Anderson and Wes Anderson.

You keep going, Mr Keedy! By the way, can you tell where I filmed this? 🟢⚪️
