Wow, a taco tour. This was amazing, yum yum 😋 Also the beginning did the guide say up to the 80s there were only 2000 people in the tip area of BCS, and now 200k wow I was there and Cabo in the mid eighties the was only one Americanized hotel, I think called the Americana. Now when I see photos and videos of the area it is crazy how grown or over grown it has become.

Wow who knew!? It was pretty tasty as well, I enjoyed it a lot more than liver or other stronger flavored parts. The cabeza was amazing, too!
@boink8003 жыл бұрын
@@laura-bronner And lastly, 'lengua' which is beef tongue. You see that everywhere. If you like cooking for yourself, try getting a beef heart from your local butcher. It will be a huge thing. To prepare it, do a 'butterfly' cut (a horizontal cut). Then you will have like three to four nice steaks and it's much more dense than normal steak ... and very, very filling. It goes well with a good Mexican red wine, of course.

We took this tour last week. Not shown in the (um, sponsored) video is sitting for 30 minutes at their restaurant before the tour starts (getting a 3rd grade history lesson while they hope you'll buy drinks) and "tequila tasting" at the end, where they sit you in a room for 20 minutes try to sell you overpriced tequila. The walking part of the tour is great. Being stuck in their restaurant (which has no customers) at the start/end is crappy. Popsicles are just OK. Churros were not on the street but at the restaurant at the end. And, no tamales, which I was really looking forward to. You could save a bunch of money and have the same experience by getting a couple carne asada tacos at El Paisa, a mole and a barbacoa taco at Tacos May, and a street churro.
@laura-bronner3 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry you had that experience. This video was not sponsored and I genuinely enjoyed my time on this tour and all the food we ate. Bummer about the tequila tasting experience at the end. It’s been a very difficult year for the tourism industry in general and people are just trying to make a living. Perhaps take up your grievances with the guys at Juan More Tacos. They couldn’t be nicer and would probably welcome your feedback.

for great street food, if you like chocolate clams and you are living in San Jose, simply walk south down to the round about , head east toward the water, walk one block to the PeMex at the corner and next to the Pemex is a guy that sells and makes for you a chocolate clam cerviche for 100 pesos. he works out of the back of his truck. it is enough for two! from the center square, less than a 5 minute walk he opens around noon
