Druig wasn’t controlling their minds 24/7….As you can see when the others were walking in. They were all healthy and doing their own thing. When he controls minds the persons eyes glow like his. He wasn’t in their mind 24/7. Only when there is conflict between the people in his village. He said he protected them from the outside world and themselves for 20 generations. All Druig wants is peace he’s tried of all the hatred, the violence, greed and suffering. He literally tells Sersi that he wanted to stop all of the greed, suffering and violence in the world. But if he did the humans without their flaws wouldn’t be human.

This^ Absolutely. His power could have been misused really easily, but he just wants to have a peaceful world, and keeps getting told "no". Druig is my favorite. He was the first to realize the problem with their mission.

As a mythology nerd, I love how each Eternal is named after a mythological figure from different pantheons.

So I actually think all the characters turning on each other fit nicely into their motivations and aligned with previous interactions they had. The first time we see Phastos and Ikaris interact, there’s some annoyance with Ikaris in general. He asks if he’s supposed to call him Clark, and Ikaris admits he’s called him worse. Then later he asks Sersi how she’s put up with him for 5000 years (and we’ll ignore the timeline good in that statement). So when he says he’s been wanting to clip his wings for a long time, it fits that he’d been a little annoyed with Ikaris’s perfect soldier boy routine for some time (not that he hates him, but kind of a brotherly rivalry sort of thing, though now he’s pretty pissed for obvious reasons). Likewise, Druig and Ikaris were set up to have pretty opposing opinions early on and a lot of animosity towards each other. And I don’t think Druig hated Sprite, but knocking her out helped further the plan and he definitely had a stronger bond with Sersi than Sprite.

I don’t see the flip flopping of the characters.

I think in hindsight it might be more to do with there being so many characters, it can feel a bit clunky shifting focus from each of them in the third act. It's a small thing in a film that I otherwise enjoyed.
