@@edgarcia4794One Piece is ok. Not a big fan of some of the casting. Nami is maybe the worst casting of all. She is supposed to he much more of a girly girl, not a husky voiced tomboy. Also they left out certain physical aspects of the characters that are essential, like Usopp's nose and Sanji's curly eyebrows. They don't have to be as exaggerated as in the anime, but they should be there. Also not a big fan of the way the arcs were crammed together (necessary, but has to be done right). There were heartfelt moments in the anime that fell flat for me in the LA, like the scene between Luffy and Nami after Luffy destroys Arlong's place. It hit hard in the anime, but completely failed in the LA. Still, it's not horrible, and has it's own charm. Waiting to see how it goes as more characters are introduced.

As of last year, Cameron and Rodriguez are both actively working on sequels (two sequels supposedly) and Rosa Salazar (Alita) is also "signed up" for them to return. They are all going to be involved. Now, when we might get those sequels, who knows. The movie's budget was around $200 M and it grossed just about $400 M, so not a flop but it barely broke even, I think. Mr. Waltz also wants to come back as well - but there may be a time jump depending on the story they might want to go with since Rodriguez said they may jump some time ahead. I can't find that interview online anymore, so maybe it was something else he was talking about or I'm mixing it up with something else.

I always found her knee jerk response to the giant robot was the throw hands. Really says everything about who she is as a person.

I was so happy with this adaptation i went out and bought the manga right away and it matched up nicely. It did well at the Box Office too so I’m hoping Disney will make another one. Love you guys!

And if Disney do it, let hope they don't put Disney usual flares to it.

It actually didn’t do well at box office that’s the thing na it barely recovered the total cost (budget and marketing) abd it was reported it may even was a loss not a big one though but still a LOSS

Frikkin' love this movie! I was worried about the low promotion so I went to see this movie four times in the theatre to try and boost the numbers. Still waiting for the sequel! Cameron, Rodriguez, Salazar are all ready to go!! So many great scenes taken from the OVA, one of my favs. I bought the BluRay as soon as it was available. Still need to read the manga, honestly. Actually I'm adding them to my read list… Great reaction, you two! Loved the speculation, and it shows how well this was written that all of your questions get answered throughout the film.

12:05 I love how expressive Alita is. It really helps you empathize with her and feel what she’s feeling.

I just wanted to mention something that you guys were asking about. When Alita offered Hugo her heart to help pay his way up to Zalem, she meant she'd get a "standard" heart probably from Ido and sell her advanced heart. I mean, she didn't say this, but it must be what she meant. She needs a cyborg heart, but she figures she may not need the advanced heart. But then, she may not have been considering that the URM body probably needs the advanced heart to function properly. If she had gotten Ido's help to switch hearts, I'm sure he would have told her this or he'd be afraid to try it with the URM technology he doesn't know well enough.

Alita Battle Angel/ GUNNM was the first set of Manga books I've ever collected, the movie did such a great job adapting a lot of scenes from it and the two anime OVAs, really hoping to see a sequel someday

Im happy that they stuck with the anime look for her vs trying to redesign the look.

This doesn’t look or feel like a Robert Rodrigues movie at all. Watching this on the big screen was awesome, it’s such a bad-ass movie, I love it. It needs a sequel big time.

James Cameron should do a sequel to this film because Alita Battle Angel is more fun than Avatar.

Yk, with Alita being a great and awesome fighter, I'm wondering 🤔... what if she was in a one-on-one combat battle duel for either: Alita vs. Gamora or Alita vs. Nebula Who would win?

The anime 'Battle Angel' is on KZbin, from 1993. It's like an hour long and it's bad ass.
