Tengus last for 4 seconds, and if you're close enough you can perfect parry and stop the crows

If you’re fast enough you can side step the elder oni slam without damage just like you said right before he hits just side step or when the attack is red I think when the attack glows red it stops tracking unless you roll back I could be wrong

They're a MUCH weaker version of the Oni lords. Weaker attacks, less health and less aggressive. All strategies apply the same.

Won't really work on Elder Oni with aggressive buff on trials or custom plat. You have to dodge just at the right moment

Has anyone ever found out what the right moment is? I've tried rolling into him right as the red x is over his shoulder; but it seems to only work around 50% of the time.

False. Timing for the dodge is literally the exact same on all difficulties. Difficulty doesn't change the properties of the attack. Once you know the timing by feel, it'll work 100% of the time guaranteed. And the window isn't super tight. You have some leeway on when you dodge towards him. As long as the attack is coming towards you when you dodge, you'll be fine IF you're close enough. The goal is to go behind him so obviously being too far away will still get you caught
