Hats off to both guys. Ethan is a beast. Deandre is a phenom as well. Lots of different ways to learn jiu-jitsu.

DeAndre Corbe is still the man. It's a shame the flak he's getting. Everyone forgets that Ethan Crelinsten is literally one of the best grapplers at 66kg. You all make it seem like Corbe lost to a bum...

nah nobody says he lost to a bum... ethan is crazy good. however media did hype Deandre up to be the upcomming god of 66kg with his superior training approach and the last 7 minutes he was basically helpless vs Ethan which kinda doesnt fit the narrative media was pushing
@papagrande74484 ай бұрын
I poked some fun on the b team short, but honestly it has more so to do with how controversial ecological training is. People already think it’s a sham (I’m undecided) so they see the “face” of it lose and it’s basically confirmation bias. Deandre is still a decent grappler and Ethan is still world class
@nathantrotter25094 ай бұрын
@@papagrande7448 Ecological Training methods are good for acquiring skills. It takes time to develop. Corbe hasn't been at standard that long. From average to elite level in grappling in a matter of 2 or 3 years it's Huge advancement.

With all the hype Deandre Corbe got in the last months this must have been rather dissapointing. Ethan in a completely one-sided match dominated him for 7 minutes and Deandre was basically only trying to survive not able to do anything at all to Ethan.

@benphilo4672 he was more active (i.e., winning ADCC opens and ultimately West Coast trials), while Ethan's last match (before Corbe) was a loss to Dorian at East Coast trials. So, before Ethan and Corbe competed against each other, their rankings were justified.
