@@akonisensei it’s not easy to sub high level grapplers and sometimes requires control and positional progression first. If he didn’t engage JC’s guard I would agree, but how can you call takedown, guard pass, mount, high mount, stalling. It’s not sub only or there would be no time limit.

im new to BJJ when someone is on top smothering like that is extremely stressful for me I pretty much tap without them doing anything, cant breathe instant loss of all my energy and heart racing How the fuck couch and other pros can still fight back with the pressure they get is insane

As you progress you'll use frames, which can reduce the top pressure dramatically. After that, it just becomes normal.

Yes, you get use to getting smashed and you learn how breath under extreme pressure and survive.

Just keep showing up man, it's all in the breathing! As you get more familiar with the positions, you won't panic as often and you would not breathe hard under pressure.
