Ethiopia asked to justify expulsion of UN staff

The UN Secretary-General has demanded evidence from Ethiopia over its expulsion of seven UN staff on misconduct allegations.
Antonio Guterres intervened in a rare public exchange with Ethiopia's ambassador.
He's also calling on its government to allow unrestricted access to deliver humanitarian aid to millions of people.

The nations are waiting the return of 400 humanitarian aid trucks plus 400 satellite radios reportedly given to the truck drivers as they transport humanitarian aid to Tigray. UN should demand from TPLF to return those trucks so that they could be used for further humanitarian aid. None of the officials as well as the journalists are denouncing TPLF.

Al Jazeera - if you want to be professional and be impartial/indipendent reporter...then you should have also showed the Ethiopian Ambassador to the U.N. Taye Astke-Selassie's full explanation of why the 7 U.N. staff were expelled out of Ethiopia. As the U.N. Security General stated...ALL members of the U.N. if not behaving in total impartiality, in total independence as humanitarian law prescribes need to be held accountablity. Ethiopia's action by expelling these 7 staff is the correct accountability and should be taken a lesson to ALL humanitarian agencies in the world to do their job and respect the laws of each country.

I was surprised to hear the GS saying: "It is my duty to defend the honour of the UN!". Let me ask just one thing, was it honorable to work with an outlawed group of bandits and trying to dismantle unity and violate sovereignty of a member nation - a founding member, at that? If the UN continues working with a terrorist group like TPLF and conspiring against its member nations, as it did to Ethiopia; I'm afraid, it won't only end up with a shameful failure; but also shorten it's own existence as a trusted & neutral global institution. Therefore, Mr GS, I don't think your expression, by any standards, fit to the reality; and, with due respect, you seem to have been leading the UN to an appalling disgrace!
