Etho didn't tell me to make snacks... so I forgot to make snacks As for the hub, it used to be cool as a WOAH he dug all of that by hand?!? vibe, but you are better than that. Dunno how the teal into the netherrack would go and you can step it up from mindcrack since that was supposed to be Ethocorp-y. Maybe go for an underwater theme. Have stone bricks with blue glass windows and sand, maybe some fake palm trees. Not necessarily nature but beachy Also, Etho is getting good at those transitions. He should "Accidentally" end up in a different LP like "Wait... I wasn't playing terra firma craft"

Hey Etho, on the nexus project you have normal ice on top of your chest, because you can't open them when you have packed ice. but a few minutes later you say that you will have to take the items out of the droppers because the trapped chests activate the droppers so you can stil use packed ice on top of the chests and it also prevents you from taking items out of the chests which is good so you can't accidently power the droppers and lose items in the water stream at the back :)

If you cant open the chests anyway because it will trigger the hoppers. you should use packed ice instead anyway, or you might forget and open them accidently.

Etho, Idea for Nether Hub; Video Game Nostalgia. A few episodes ago you answered a question that asked about games from you child hood or your life before KZbin. Why not do the tunnels in the style of one of your favorite games art theme. I know it would be difficult to create, but it would be a fun opportunity to tell all your video game stories from a kid. I know the art might be a little hard to recreate because Minecraft is pixelated and blocky, so you might ave to choose a game(s) with a distinct art style, (ex. Tron= Neon Colors and High Contrast.). Hope you like the idea and keep up the good work! Also, have you considered a small squid farm, or a farm that is ran by a wither destroying a block that can be AFK farmed? Hope you like the idea and keep up the good work!

Oh yeah! Go for underwater hell theme! You don't get water, but prismarine type blocks should be sufficient. Also, you should check out ImpulseSV because he tweaked the filter system of the item sorter a bit recently and it now comes with overflow protection. He made a video on it :)

Etho, if you don't plan on opening the double chests, since the trapped ones power the droppers, you could just as well put packed ice above. My opinion on the Nether hub is, that you don't even need to redo it. Just finish the Portal Network, hook it up to some more places, like the Nether Skeleton farm and the Guardian farm. For the design of the arrival rooms I'd suggest something futuristic, since they are basically teleporters ^^

Etho, regarding the ice vs. packed ice over the chests, you can use regular ice just above the chests to open them, and packed ice in between chests. so in case the ice melts, water will stay contained between the hoppers, packed ice and the faceplate.

Dear Etho. i am writing this comment after many months of holding back my thoughts and hoping all will get better. i am a loyal fan that has watched your video's since you started off in the man cave. you are a good builder and an excellent redstoner. i have learned countless tips and tricks from your video's and watch your video's as soon as they come out. i stick to watching your single player lp, mindcrack lp, and when it's not lagging itself to death mindcrack ftb. my biggest concern is that since the beginning of 2013 i have seen the quality of your video's decline dramatically. they are still entertaining don't get me wrong but the charm and personality that was present in your older video's has long since disappeared and been forgotten about.this is only one of my major problems with your newer video's. not only is the relateable and at times charming qualities gone but you don't finish your big projects anymore. as i see it all of your best projects have never been completed and have long since been ignored and abandoned. this personally makes me sad and angry. you have great talent and awesome ideas but you never seem to be able to see them through to completion. the list is as follows: the end base, the mob sorter/record factory, Wilson, emerald city, the portal gold farm collection platform,the library, the cave village, the cave village exterminator, and a few other projects i can't think of at the moment. what I'm getting at is your not getting stuff done that needs finished and all of the personality that was present in your older videos is gone. it's very hard for me to continue to support your video's with the quality so bad. i hope you can improve on what i have said here so i don't have to unsubscribe from you. if you ever read this i thank you for your time. if i get banned as a result of this i will at least know i got this off my chest. sincerely a long time fan.

In regards to your item filter. You will find it will break in bulk. To fix the red stone signal bleed you will need a piston every other sorting cell. I had identical design which works 80% of time until certain conditions. Please up vote so etho sees and can avoid future headaches.

NETHER HUB SUGGESTION: Carry on the sandstone as a main block. Use Prismarine as accent, and finish the ceiling of the hub using Prismarine, to make the build complete. Get rid of the purple wool. Your mineshafts are looking a lot like mine... normally, from a quarter of a beacon's range, I get three to four cubes (64 blocks in a cube) of redstone... not sure what that works out to be in terms of dust... but its a LOT. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE: Maybe overhaul the Village? Clear out the whole thing, making it more open? I noticed your villagers hurting themselves a lot... and it could be a little more safe, as well as bigger for more villagers, the reason I make this suggestion is that I expanded a village village, adding more farmable land and a bunch of new houses, (with more doors) and got about five new golems... plus lots of new villagers.

It seems like you might get a problem with overflow if your going to use the simple sorters. Another youtuber called ImpulseSV uploaded a video recently showing how to build a very simple sorter system with overflow protection. It uses no pistons and only 1 redstone dust more per slice. You should check it out.

Etho, if you're planning on using a 1 tick rapid pulse clock for the Nexus project. The dropper will only fire half the time due to how repeaters react to 1 tick pulses. Also the two back to back repeaters won't fire at all. Just something I've run across with my own projects.

Etho, if you're worried about ice melting, but you want the chests to open, use slime blocks. They aren't as fast as ice for item delivery, but it's probably the best option
