Great review guys! We appreciate your thorough testing and feedback on the Ethos Hybrid Ceramic Rinseless Wash and the Hybrid Wash Sponge. Regarding the sponge, we designed it with smaller slits intentionally. The shallower cuts help to minimize the risk of trapping larger particles that could potentially scratch the surface. As for the initial firmness you mentioned, the sponge is designed to break in and soften up with use, providing a more comfortable and effective washing experience over time. In addition the foam we selected to construct the sponge was able to pull more dirt off the surface than the others on the market. Definitely worth testing side by side!

Nice, I was expecting a bit more excitement from you guys when trying it for the first time like I have seen with Hero, Idrosave and DIY Detail Rinseless Wash in the past especially when it came to the sponge. Maybe with time, it will start to shine like almost all of Ethos products do. Can’t go wrong with a Peach Starburst smell but again, I wasn’t blown away by it as seemed like you guys weren’t either.

I would think that the deeper the slits, the less chance there is of releasing all of the dirt when re-dunked in the bucket... shallower the slits, the better the chance of releasing the dirt when re-dunked in the bucket.

Exactly the goal, deep slits in our testing held onto debris and didn't rinse as fully. Plus the deeper slit cubes are much less durable and tend to tear and break with use.

Seems like the wild Wild West right now with all of these detailing brands coming out with things. Many seem to bank off KZbinrs talking about their products. Nothing wrong with that. It’s just an observation. KZbin has indirectly spawned a million products lol. I wanted to relive a few years ago with a hose and a bucket like the old days. Picked up Adam’s Graphene Shampoo and did 2 squirts into a bucket and activated the suds. Did my contact wash and dried the car. Honestly it felt so nice to think less and just enjoy the process. Obviously while still using common sense.
