Etihad Airways welcomes Boeing's 787 Dreamliner to Abu Dhabi

Boeing 787 Dreamliner touched down in the UAE Capital. The historic BOE787 flight landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport at 7.05pm local time on Wednesday June 6, and was greeted by a traditional water canon salute on arrival.
A select group of VIP guests experienced a two hour demonstration flight, which included an aerial tour of the UAE. Hundreds of airline and airport-based workers also inspected the aircraft upon its return and the day concluded with the Dreamliner at the centre of a special lightshow spectacular.

The integration of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner into the Etihad fleet is the ultimate decision which the airline has made from a business perspective. I believe that fundamentally this will in fact highlight the importance of consistant and meaningful improvement as the we move forward. I am proud of the news that Boeing and Etihad have collaborated in a deal which I think is by far the best I have heard or read about in relation to the airline industry. The 787 is so GOOD!! I've flown on it with Hainan Airlines, and the expierience was Well Worth the Price. I hope to fly on Etihad's 787 soon !!

I love abhu Dhabi because I went there and it's beautifully and I also went to Dubai it's also so betifull because everywhere there is palms and it's really cool there and it's warm. I love everything about ethiad!

I got the chance to fly on both the A330 which is almost like the A340 and the B787, both are great aircrafts but I have to admit the B787 is more comfortable and overall it's way better.

The sitting arrangement on A340 is the best, because it has 2-4-2s compared to 3-4-3s for economy class passengers.
