I really liked this vid. My very first trip on EY was this same route back in 2012 on an A320. I know how much of a low traffic airport AUH is, so it was pretty funny that they get held up by traffic on take off. Those flying saucer gates aren't going anywhere for a while, not until the authorities get to the 'foundation' of why the mid-field terminal hasn't opened yet.

787 is a very clean aircraft , it struggles to slow down so they use big flap changes to slow it down , i noticed they were at 190kts and wanted to get to 152kts

V1 is a speed they can't reject the takeoff after it or they'll overshot the runway. They take into account the occurrence of anything abnormal before V1 to abort the takeoff, even if it is simple. If Engine failure occurs after V1, they have to fly the aircraft then return to the airport. It's safer than rejecting it.

Thanks Just Planes for this amazing video! One side note ... It was so rude from the captain and especially the first officer at 1:25:25 when she said "Welcome to Cairo" with a mocking voice commenting on the truck that SEEMED to block the taxiway! I've seen the exact same situation at the most prominent airports in the world and no one acted likewise! The workers in the truck were just doing their work Ms. First Officer! ... Don't worry, the ATC would never give you clearance for a gate while there is something blocking your taxiway towards it! It was a bad move that made me dislike the video after liking it!
