so I had a question why is the formula for Hooke's law in math different from physics why do we have two constants one being lambda elasticity modulus and another being the spring constant k. moreover, if k represents stiffness what does lambda represent?

Hmm we're not familiar with the math version, but what is the full math equation with the λ in it?

@@ETphysics [(lambda)(extension)] / natural length. Basically k is replaced by lambda/ natural length
