I watched several videos when installing my PL8521 on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma and this was the most helpful. The only part I really struggled with was finding the wires to tap into under the kick panel. I ended up tapping into the wires near the emergency break, tedious work but mission accomplished!

Oh boy... Im just running into not having any of the aforementtioned blue/black clue/red wires in my 2015 access cab.

@@thedoad ugh, well glad I didn't start installing mine today then. Going to go to a friend's place with a garage next weekend and do it there. I saw another video showed the opened the b-pillar and tapped into them there

We use the Canon R7. We obtain them from B&H photo, out of New York.

Whats the purpose of the wiring? To unlock and lock with key fob?
