Is this the same concept for a 2023 sport bronco...?

So you say to check your manual to make sure it’s safe. Why would you make a product for a vehicle that would make it unsafe? Like no bronco sport is rated past 2200 lbs.

For many vehicles the towing capacity can vary greatly depending on how the vehicle is equipped. It's not uncommon for a hitch to have a higher capacity than the vehicle it's installed on, which is precisely why we encourage folks to check their owner's manual to determine the actual towing capacity of their vehicle. You'll want to be sure to abide by the lowest capacity. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C76HR.html

@@etrailer I agree but in this case I am sure the class 2 ford equips falls into the standard of its capacity so class 3 does nothing.

@@SpudOutdoors That's correct, to a degree. However, With a Class III hitch you get the more popular 2 inch receiver opening which will offer you a much better selection of hitch mounted accessories. Usually there isn't much of a price differential between the Class II and III, so unless you already have a bunch of Class II accessories for the 1-1/4 inch receiver you'll be better off with the Class III.

Curt generally does not make a downgraded cheaper Class 2. Why make a separate line when a Class III will do anything a ClassII will.
