The item description says it fits box frames too. Do you have a video showing how to mount via box frames? Thank you!

I so badly want to to do this with my Fifth Wheel, but the damn drop bumper and rear electric jacks are making it a real pain in the ass...

They can tend to get in the way but we have plenty of options for hitches if you would like to take a look at them in the following link. Some of the hitches will mount to the bumper but may not have the towing capacity that you are looking for. www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-RV_and_Camper_Hitch.aspx

How does it mount to a box frame?
@etrailer5 жыл бұрын
Essentially the same way but you either need longer hardware to go all the way through the frame or find an access hole to fishwire the included hardware.

Looking for a hitch that would mount on an 8.5 wide enclosed trailer. Anybody have experience and good luck installing on an enclosed trailer.

We have hitches that are designed to fit the frames of RVs and camper trailers. You can take measurements on your trailer frame and see if one of them would work for you. They are going to fit a range of frame sizes and will need to be cut and welded when finalized. www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-RV_and_Camper_Hitch.aspx

looks like this would be a good install on our 2019.5 Rockwood Mini Lite 2506S. Did the bar need to be cut to make it fit, or was it just the right length.
@etrailer5 жыл бұрын
In this installation, the cross bar was only hanging past the frame a few inches on each side. It was not necessary to cut the ends of the tube. I would say the only reason you would want to cut the end off is if you have interference with another part of the camper or if you do not like how much it is hanging out. To find out if the hitch will work with your Rockwood Mini Lite you just need to measure the frame to make sure it is between 22" and 72" and this product should work great! www.etrailer.com/RV-and-Camper-Hitch/Curt/13703.html

@@etrailer This looks like such a great alternative to having one welded directly to the frame, like we had to do in our Signature 5th wheel about 3 years ago.

I'm sorry but I would re mount the jacks and move the hitch to the far back location, whatever it takes...then move the jacks to where you mounted the hitch....just saying.....

I guess you would cut that rear cross member out too then. Pay attention before you talk out your ass

@@user-vd9fz5ey9m I guess you didn't read the part that SAID WHATEVER IT TAKES moron. There is a little crossmember in the way lests pretend we can't weld or fabricate anything and we will make it look like an after thought and make is look like shit. I bet your a hack and your jobs look like Cheep Chuck in a Truck.
