I enjoy all of your videos and always learn something new, but this one was even more wonderful! I love your transparency and honesty in telling us what mistakes to avoid by your experiences. Because I can definitely see me making the same kinds of mistakes with either the listing price, sale or even a typo. While I was listening to this while driving, I was like, hurry up and check your listings when you get home, make sure you don't have anything listed for $1 LOL! I had just lowered my prices on a lot of things a few days ago, so it definitely would have been easy to do. I love Tucker's hint as well! He's such a cutie pie! I doubt this will be a great Q4 for me this year, because I don't have enough listings, but Q4 2024 - watch out!

Great video. You are talking about my biggest fear. Selling something that is wrong in some way and getting burned financially. I recently had an ornament ship to Australia and it wasn’t personalized ! Fortunately, Printify was able to stop the shipping and send that to me and reprint with the correct name and send to my customer. Now? I’m on pins and needles waiting to see how it printed. I saw someway say watercolor images on ornaments look blurry. 😩 This is so much more stressful than I imagined! ❤ SayessDesign

I love your videos, shawna! You are such a great teacher. I’m a new shop (August) and I had great momentum through October more than doubling my sales every month. Then came November. Screech. I couldn’t figure out why. As soon as the Etsy 25% off sale hit and I hadn’t participated, my sales tanked. Tbh I didn’t even realize I was supposed to be running 25% off. Once I realized what was happened, I went ahead and marked down earlier this week, but I really regret not having participated from the start (but in my defense, I didn’t know). Now I know to stay on top of those Etsy sales because WOW, that destroyed my November.

I had a very transparent dot on a design I made that I found when I got my sample. I had sold 8 before I realized the error. Thankfully 4 of them weren’t printed until after I uploaded the corrected design. If all are going to be replaced would be about $200. Thinking I may only have to replace 4 though. I did contact everyone to let them know though. They’ve all been really nice.

I had a spike in sales and it is so hard to keep up with getting the orders ready to be pushed through, and on top of that listing more! How do you do it?? I also make different product templates for smalls and mediums for every design since Printify scales down designs so much for smaller sizes. Maybe I should move to Printful since they don't do that. Hi Shawna, love your channel, I'm learning so much from it. I do have a question though. I listed an item on a sale, on the price it just shows the sale price in green then the original price in grey with a line thru it. I noticed on some other listings of the same type of item it shows the sale price in green, original in grey with line through it but below it says 40 percent off sale. Mine is 50 percent off but it doesn't say that and the original price is hard to see so it just looks like the sale price is the original price and doesn't make a big impact. Hey there! I am so glad you enjoyed this one! So people complain about this very rarely but boy am I glad that one lady did when it was 50 percent off! I do give them the difference back. If you go into your orders in etsy, hit the three dots to the right, and then select refund you will be able to just do a partial refund. Hope this helps!

Amazing and funny video! :) Have you noticed more printing mistakes during Q4? I am not sure if it is usual for SwiftPOD, but my customer recently received a faded print. Actually I am a bit disappointed and not sure if to use them during the Q4 further on, or move to another print provider. What your experience has been?

Hey there! Every Q4 I feel that there are more mistakes... (Mine and the POD companies!) LOL. But the ratio is actually about the same... just with more sales comes more mishaps. Last year I reached out to my success manager with Prinful with concern on this and she pulled a report for me to see the percentage was about the same. I found that so interesting because it FELT like more!

Thank you for the lovely content Shawna! Does anyone know: if you need to update your pricing on an Etsy listing(s), do you only need to do it within Etsy, leaving the old figures on the Printfy end? Or do you update the pricing within Printify, and then publish the updated info to the Etsy listing? Or do you manually update the pricing figures within Etsy, and then also go in and manually update the figures within Printify. An example would be, if you’ve noticed you’ve made a pricing error to a published Etsy listing, or you’ve started with breakeven pricing and now it’s time to up the pricing on those Etsy listings.

Hey! I was wondering what percentage of your overall sales come from Canada? I have been too nervous to sell anywhere except the US. I primarily use Printify and it shows a 10-30 day shipping timeframe for Canadian orders, so I just couldn't imagine anyone would be ok with waiting that long for their item. It is a good tip that you do not run sales on your Canadian orders to offset the higher shipping costs. Is there anything special you have to do regarding VAT or customs? TIA! Jennifer

Hey there! Most of my items are coming out of Printful and Printify. Last year Prinftul's cut off date was the 13th or 14th of December for US orders. Who are using for fulfillment?

Hey there! Great Questions! You have to allow refunds and exchanges in Europe and there are certain countries with a tax thing that I never figured out! Something we needed to do on our end. In order to keep things simple for myself I decided to just fo with the US and Canada! Hope this helps!

Thanks for this video. I was having a hard day because today I figured out that I had made mistakes in a listing with varients that I had duplicated like 30 times! Now I have to go back in and edit each one and then edit the color charts since these listings have already gained some sales and favorites. By the way in terms of listing managment is this a good way to do it by copying the varient listing and entering the order manually? Or should a seller copy and paste varients for each new design.

Oh no! I have done that too and had to spend so much time going back and fixing it! I hope you got them all updated! And I personally like to copy in Etsy and then sync it after it starts selling. It is manual the first time but automatic after that!

I had a typo when I was brand new and a shirt was listed for $2.00 instead of $20.00. The design was so bad, that the only time someone bought it, was when I was doing free shipping over $35 and they needed something to get their order over $35. That was the only time that shirt ever sold - even at $2.00

Shawna, thank you so much for this video. I have made some mistakes not pricing my items correctly. I noticed you mentioned you sell to Canada customers. How do you check for trademarks in Canada? Also, I want to quit my current job next year (mid year) even though I don’t have the sales to support my decision but I feel like I want to really invest more time in this promising business. I've only made six sales. I have this lady that ordered two items both from different print providers because I ran a sale with 25% off of a two item order. It's taking almost a month to get her stuff and she's not responding to any of my emails. I've apologized and sent her a coupon code and everything. The order was supposed to be for her son's birthday. Now I'm really horrified she might leave me a bad review. Any suggestions?
