Hey there! I actually started Etsy as just a way to replace my tutoring income as I was really burnt out from tutoring after school. Once I got started and realized how much potential there was… I just kept pushing real hard until I was making enough to quit teaching. After I quit teaching, I kept pushing real hard because I wanted to see just where we can take the shops! And I had absolutely no background and zero experience with designing shirts or building an online business! Crazy!!! I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos!

Feeling really overwhelmed about listing. Have to figure out hacks to do mock-ups and list with all the details that comes with each listing. I created a bunch of designs but have not started listing 😬. I know this gets easier with time but right now I can’t wrap my mind around how people list so much or fast.

@@AngieBaby666 Very true! I left the comment a month ago and can say I learned a lot through the month and started listing focusing on one product. Work went into creating listing images, charts, figuring out pricing, writing description then finally getting to listing. I can say some of the fear was valid but once you start doing it, that definitely helps ease some other fears.

Hey there! I have had several customers ask me this too! I should have saved the answer I gave them! I had to go into Etsy as a shopper and find a similar listing to my own (don't use yours because you are not allowed to buy your own items on Etsy). I had to go through the process so I could explain to them how to do it!

Hey there Cherry! I hope you pull out strong those first two weeks in December! I set mine out to the 30th and they broke it into two sales for me. One is the Cyberdeal sale and the other is EarlyDeals Sale. Hope this helps! You can make sure it worked be scrolling down in your sales and coupons tab to all your active sales and looking to make sure they are there.

Hey there! Congrats on getting your shop going! I have never done that. That used to be what a lot of people did (before my time on Etsy) but the system works a bit differently now and is not as beneficial. Renewing a listing does give it a little boost which why you probably heard someone suggesting it. I would focus on making new designs instead... especially when you are new. You will want to improve your skills and that is how you will do it! Hope this helps and I am wishing that first sale comes your way really sooon!

Oh no Daniela! You definitely need to price your items so you are not losing money! If is POD items you might be comparing your prices to people that are printing their own. We can't compete with them on price but we can with our designs!

I have a quick question: I had someone place an order on October 31, but Printful says the address is invalid and I have sent her several messages asking to confirm the address and she has not responded. Hey there! I usually reach out every day for about three days and then I set their estimated delivery window out on Etsy as far as I can... I think it's like 28 days or something like that. I let them know that the carrier has asked me to confirm with them and we can't wait to get the order started but need to hear back from them first. When that time period ends I cancel it unless they got back with me. They usually aren't mad but if they are you can cancel it before you respond to them and then just apologize in your response. THis is how I do it anyway! Hope this helps!

Hey there! I may do a quick video on this! But if you head in to your shop manager, sales and discounts, and set a sale for 25 percent off out to the 30th Etsy will do the rest for you! Hope this helps! And I try to get about a 150 listings out each month:)

Hi there! When I used the words "High Demand" in this video I was referring to all the best sellers you might see in a particular niche. So lots and lots of best sellers with Christmas shirts including a last name... which might scare someone off from making a bunch of their own designs here. But when there are lots of best sellers there are LOTS of shoppers! Hope this helps!

Hi Shawna, i just want to thank you for all the advices that you are giving us here, I learned so many things from you. I have my Etsy shop for 3 years now, but I started with POD just recently, in August. With bad designs and no research 😹I have one question for you if you can help me. I’m doing now exactly how you are telling us to do, research, checking best selling items, doing my SEO with those keywords from those listings, but I don’t have views. Even with 5$ adds that i put a few week ago. My question is:why? Because those keywords are in high competition, and as a new POD seller I’m not ranking for it? I wanna mention that I kinda abandoned my shop before i started with POD, being very busy in my day to day job. Can this be a factor why because I’m not getting views? Hope you can help me with an answer 😊 I’m really consistent now with my shop, and I want it to work

Hi Shauna. Thank you for another great video. I’ve only had a few sales so far. Can I ask you how many views and visits I should expect per day? I have 88 listings and I am getting maybe 17 views and perhaps 12 visits but not converting to sales. I’ve obviously not got the hang of it properly 😔

This is going to make you feel great! I just looked back in my shop to a time that I would have had somewhere around that many listings... I was averaging around 7 to 11 visits a day. I had around 4 or 5 orders at the time. Hope this helps with expectations.

Do note for American viewers: it is illegal for you to adjust your prices for a short time simply to put your products on sale. Make sure you do your due diligence and check your local laws.

5:30. This is terrible advice. You immediately run Etsy ads for your product so that your product has the best chance of getting more sales without waiting for SEO to kick in. It's the holiday season, there is no time to wait for SEO to kick in. Run the ad and if you are priced at break even and you did your market research correctly let the sales velocity hit so that your price gets higher in the search results ranking. Once that happens, then you put your price back to profitability. That's what you have to do during the christmas season to put yourself at the best chance of winning.

Hey there! Sorry you didn’t agree with that! Etsy ads are super powerful and I do suggest using them! I think you might’ve taken that statement just a little bit out of context as I go into great detail on my channel about how to use them effectively. I do suggest running Etsy ads immediately just like I do as long as you have your items optimized. I would hate for beginners to be wasting money and have a bad experience with them.

If I sold 35 custom group shirts a day as a mom, there's no way I could find time to fill those orders if I'm doing them all manually. Can you show us how you do it? Do you hire people to help, do you use Hello Custom or are they set up with individual SKU numbers? Thanks!
